Windows Phone 8 - Anybody using it?

Just 3 weeks ago, after a year of waiting I finally get myself a Nokia Lumia 620 with Windows Phone 8 OS. After 3 weeks of use, I find this OS to be really good, fun to use, fantastic social integration and really fluid. Surely though, there are some stuff that are missing, even the basic ones are.

So any of you guys have jump aboard from iOS, Android or BlackBerry for Windows Phone? If so then how do you like it and do you guys have any issues so far?

Is a 620 old?

Though people were getting the lumia 920 which is like the old nokia 3310.

The Lumia 620 is actually new, by saying a year later I meant I get a Windows Phone OS a year later. Sorry if it's confusing. The Lumia 920 is tough as a brick!

I hate windows but I actually like the style of the windows phones. I have never gotten the chance to use it in real life yet tho. I really like the looks of the phones, I think they look the best usually. Only thing holding them back is less apps. The new blackberry looks cool as well but again lack of apps.

I definitely agree! It's not just about lacking apps, it's also about lacking quality apps. Facebook and Twitter for example. Both of them are pretty common yet they crash pretty often and they're quite unstable sometimes.

That's not the only issue though, there are many more little stuff that I'd like to point out as to why WP is great, but not great enough later once I managed to compile them together. Since Microsoft have used up all the time and finally moved from Windows CE kernel to now Windows NT kernel with Windows Phone 8, they now should be focusing on fixing these small issues quickly.

Just some heads up. For those using the Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820, the Portico update is already out and you should be able to update your device. Those with Windows Phone 7 will be able to update their phone to Windows Phone 7.8 which features the same tiles as WP8, bluetooth file sharing and some more little stuff. The only one that will not be getting the WP7.8 update is T-Mobile branded Lumia 710...

Oh ya how do they do updates for those phones that's the biggest problem with android is the updates. If it wasn't for that they would be super amazing. By far best part of Iphone is the update for all phones. My old 3gs is still fully up to date with newest software while my way newer s3 already behind in updates. It's pretty ridiculous really.

Blame the telcos for the update issue.

Ya its such a scam. They always just a stupid useless apps that only make things much worse.
