My brother's PC which runs Windows XP was acting up so I performed a fresh install of XP onto it again. SP3.
The PC is directly connected to the internet router via a wire.
But the internet isn't being connected to.
I've been told it's a driver issue but I can't install the official LAN driver onto the computer because I get a 9995 error which says that the computer doesn't meet the minimum requirements for the driver.

The PC is a HP. It's a Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005.
Model number: m7000 m7635.uk

The drivers:

If it comes back try running Winsockfix for XP.

If you still have the HP software on your PC and it happens again you can reinstall the original driver by the restore option.

Start>All Programs>HP>HP recovery>Hardware driver recovery.

Select the option for your network driver and thats it.
