What a b@llache this race is!!!

After several failed attempts at this race I have finally found a winning setup for the Toyota 7 at Cote d'Azure / Monaco. I hope it helps someone else get through this race quicker than I did.

I used a lvl 25 semi-hot Bob with a blue arrow (which seems to be important in getting the Bob to miss the bloody walls).

Also, he needed a little coaching (i.e. don't let him overtake at the chicane after the tunnel and cool him down after Rascasse (last hairpin). Get right back on 'increase pace' after these corners though.

Setup as follows:

Car: Toyota 7 Race Car '70

Tyres: Racing, Medium compound. THIS IS VITAL!!!

Aerodynamics: Front 60 Rear 85
Turbo Kits: High RPM Range Turbo Kit
Transmission: 193mph Top speed (1st gear elongated to 2.916)
LSD: Initial = 30, Accel = 55, Braking = 30
Suspension:
1.Height: -30mm Front and Rear
2.Dampers (Extension): 10 Front and Rear
3.Dampers (Compression): 9 Front and Rear
Wheel Alignment:

Camber Angle: Front +7 / Rear +2.5
Toe Angle: Front -0.10 / Rear +1.5

Brakes: Front = 9/Rear = 8

I won by 14.5 seconds so maybe this setup and Bob level is a little overkill, but hey - it works.

Good luck and let me know how you get on!

My bob won first try with the stock toyota 7 settings fully tuned.

I also won first try on A Spec in my 70 Challenger RM though.

Both races.

Just rememberd i did not finish this one.
Tried it with the setup and my bob took the lead in the 3 round.

While gave him some commands here and there i noticed he holds maintain pace much much longer then befor. It took about 1min till the bar moved again. Anybody noticed this too? Does it have somehing to do to do with bobs lvl?

red_five_racer, just modified my settings using your tune and entered the race...

that was easy! my bob won by 24 seconds.

thanks!

What level are peoples bobs? Mine is 26, and still loses by 2 seconds with this tune... Blue Arrow and 10% Hot.

To the OP...are you sure about the rear toe angle of +1.5...i think it should be +0.15 as toe angle is limited to +1.00.

Oh my good Lord..
With this tune it -works, but really you have to couch your driver.
Still - this is a good setup.

Put max ballast in the back (+50 position). The '7 is too lightweight to put its power down properly from low speed. The car will fly off the line with the extra weight.

Red_Five, your setup works like a charm. My lvl 18 Bob won at the first try !! :grumpy: Many thanks.
MUST be a good setup then, I gave up on this one and didn't return until I had high level 20 bobs, (25-29 somewhere in there) which still had a somewhat rough time.

The funny thing is you don´t need a setup.
You only need to move the top speed slider and slap on Race Meds ;)

I tried this tune for A-spec. Managed to win the race, but struggled a bit handling the car on high speed corners. Thanks for the tune though, got me from 2nd to 1st. Not sure what adjustments would be needed to correct this as i'm no genius when it comes to setups.

Thanks again

Tried this today and wow wat a setup. my level 32 driver took the lead in 2nd lap. and won by 30secs. :) I dint even need to tell him to do anything, helps when u train your own driver all the way up from scratch and dont let him do remote races. lol

Also put max ballast in the back (+50). keeps the power down perfect.

the ballast tip really does help. first attempt without it didnt go to well, now my bob does a lot better. I just got spun out by a 69 gt40 though -____-. still 7 laps to go.

B-Spec driving the Toyota 7 @ Historic Car Cup , Cote d`Azur , Expert Series

Car is stock (stock power / weight)
Top Speed was set to 217 mph , rest of the Settings are default.
Racing Medium Tyres were used.

I got so frustrated with this that I cheated. :guilty: I kept restarting until there were no Chapparal 2J's, then its a cakewalk.
