Sorry if it has already been said.
This trophy can be obtained through B Spec remote races. I was using the remote race widget and i left if for a few hours. When i came back a bit later on and returned to the GTLife home screen the trophy popped. I then had a look through the races and it turned out my B Spec driver won the Indy race by 0.007 seconds.
I opened this thread to notify of this, sorry if it has already been said. I tried doing a search but found loads of other things and not this.
The results of the race are in the following picture:
