I don't think it's said anywhere, to be honest. There might, however, be a slight possibility SONY will announce it at E3 (June 10th, 6PM PT according to IGN). I personally don't think we'll hear anything before the summer's over.

That's why I asked that. The article says we know PD are set to announce something but don't have the details of what.

Well, maybe they know something we don't? It's highly unlikely - but it's still possible (I guess).

I'm not sure if it is highly unlikely, I've read both sides of the argument to why they would and wouldn't release it early, with a Schizophrenic company like Sony, either seems just as possible.

One last Hurrah for the PS3 before they begin on the PS4's GT7 might not be such a bad thing, the physics are already pretty good, if it has enough new content too, then it could be worth while.

At the same time, being so late in the year, who knows, we might be witnessing a launch title for the PS4 as well, either is technically possible, and I'd prefer it as a launch title honestly.

I think there is a giant possibility that it isn't a hoax, BUT...

That's why they write "If new rumors are correct". They basically know nothing, they simply repost what others already said.

I wouldn't be surprised for PD to go for a holiday launch. However, if they do do so, it certainly won't launch in the US on November 28th, 2013. PD is not going to launch a game during one of the biggest national holidays. Instead, it would probably launch on Nov 27th if it does happen.

They better stick to a 2013 release date and not delay it over and over if they still plan on making it for PS3. I don't want to buy a new PS3 game in 2016.
I wish they would focus on PS4 though.

Dammit, I just want GT something. I'm bored with GT5 now, and I really don't have any other games. It's sad how they all eventually come to die. GT5 and Socom Confrontation were two games that I've always played on PS3, and now they're both just dying.

I really just want something to do, and I want that something to be GT6

I seem to remember a fair gap between GT3 and GT4? Something of the order of four years? Not short. GT4 also caught the delay virus that so infected GT5.

So it would seem that the last two games they've made have taken quite a long time AND been delayed.

There's some humble pie in the fridge if you like, I don't think I need any more.

People keep saying "hoax."

1) There's no way that lame box art is the cover of GT6. That's clearly a mock box, no matter what.

2) Retailers have been throwing around dates, but being incorrect wouldn't be the same as a "hoax." Folks know the game is coming but don't know when so they plug in a hypothetical date as a stand-in until there is a confirmed date.

As an example, I pre-ordered The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess years before release, before we knew there would be both a Wii and GCN version and before we even knew the "Twilight Princess" part. Companies don't need definite dates to start anticipating upcoming releases.
