WOODONE ADVAN Clarion GTR '08 tuning help needed.

This car handles pretty good off-line. But the moment I go into an online race it handles like a trash truck. I like driving with all aids off whenever possible however with this car I at least need skid recovery force and TCS on to keep up in Super GT races. Anyone have any advice?
 
There's a ton of GT-R tunes around, maybe not WoodOne Advan specific, but if you do an advanced search in the tuning forum, you'll find quite a few, that I'm certain will work for your stickers.

Dont just say things when you dont actually know if its true. Everytime someon ask for a tune for one of these Super GT GTR's.(you know this i not you regular run of the mill R35). everyone says that theres tunes out there. ILL HAVE YOU KNOW THAT THERE is only one tune out there for the Super GT GTR' 08 and all the did was change the rear toe to .50. thats not a tune. If you are not sure dont spread trumors to discourage other members.:grumpy:

The Woodone Advan Clarion GTR '08 is a very special GTR. Its different from the rest . Nissan mutated this one. Stock it comes with loads of oversteer. My advice to you is use another GTR and if you cant get another one then come back and look for a tune for this car. The Xanavi, Calsonic, Yellowhat, are more suitable

your unlucky to have been stuck with this GTR. Its funny how no one told you about the madness that this car possesses

You need to stiff up the rear quit a lot.. make sure to keep the ridehight much lower in the rear compared to the front (i.e -5/-10). Stiffen up the springrate accordingly (the rear needs to be a lot tighter/stiffer than the front in this specific car). Set the dampers to 8 or 9 in the rear. And keep the front between 6-7. Make sure you also stiff the rear anti roll bars as well. Set the LSD to 5/8/5 or similar. Set the rear toe to +1.00.

Start with this and work your way from there. I'm not saying this is THE TUNE, but I'm pretty sure you can use this base to get the car to act like you want it to. 👍

Whats your point. why couldnt you just post the tunes. This is a Japanese Super GT GTR '08 not just any GTR. They better be full tunes. Not Springs:hard

The funny thing is all i can find is post of you telling other people that there are tunes out there.
Also dont give me a tune for the Xanavi nismo Z. thats not a GTR. Tune for the Calsonic Impul GTR '08, Yellowhat YMS tomica GTR '08, Woodone Clarion Advan GTR '08, Xanavi nismo GTR '08. And dont gve m that tune by the Wolf guy. that is a stock setup that he posted while changing one thing
 
This car SUCKS!!!!

This is the runt of the litter in terms of the GTR 08 Super GT cars. It handles like trash compared to the other versions. I have no idea why this one is soo much different from the others. Sucks cause I like the looks of it the most and was my first GTR I got.

I suggest not wasting your time on it and get one of the other 3 to run.

And why does the Motul 08 weight 30 kg more?
 
It just surprises me that no one has posted a complete tune for at least one of the super GT GTRs seeing that they seem to be the most popular super gt cars out there.
 
I'm going to try this tune. I was playing around with the suspension earlier and felt I made a descent amount of improvement. The real answer, I think, is just to have a real light right foot.
 
I have a Nurburgring tune with a best time of 6:18.9xx. Its a Xanavi GTR but shouldnt require a much different tune.

The problem is no tune for the other GTR's will work on this GTR. it has a different weight ditribution apparently. It handles completely differently.
 
Wow your right! I just glanced at it and didn't see. I guess I'll have to keep messing with it to see if I can make it drivable.
 
if your in a series you tell them to let you use a different car because they knew what they were doing when they gave you this car and thats just mean. if you chose it well then its a long road
 
The first one found, is the one you mentioned that only changed minor things. While cheap, it's very effective and as any good driver knows, the stock set up is already extremely strong. Anyone who ventures too drastically far from the base tune, will probably be designing something slower, not faster. How bout the fact that 1. we were looking on Gtplanet and 2 all those setups you posted from gtvault are 1. from Gt4 and 2. not the 2008 NISSAN GTR '08 Super GT car I specifically told you this many times that it was not any GTR it was the 2008 one from GT5. why would you post a load of crap from GT4 and a xanavi Z. Therfore ill stick to attacking the post because obviously you are a better person:tdown:. The post is idiotic youve done nothing but make a fool of yourself. BTW your post is too long

Your joking right. That stock tune is crap. have you even driven a super gt car in GT5. you wont stand a chance against guys like me who tuned their GTR's. That stock tune understeers and destroys the tires after so many lap Your joking right. Do yourself a favor and dont post about anything that has to do with Super GT. My tune for the yellowhat GTR is light years better than this one and its completely different from the stock tune. and it does 1:53's at suzuka with 493hp and 1100kg weight FYI.
