For those of you who don't know the Woodward Dream Cruise is the world's largest one day auto event bringing in typically over 1.5 million people. It's supposed to be about classic cars but now it's turned into anything custom or unique. Granted there are still a ton of classics down there.

Here's the wiki article on it so you can really see what it is.

Most of my photos are going to be of new cars because classic American cars are about as interesting as drying paint to me. I have a couple classics though that I thought were cool. Also I was using two camera so some pictures will look better than others.

GTX1, the owner actually asked for my help opening the back up so we could photograph the engine. He was a really cool guy and talked to us about his car for a couple minutes.

I'm sorry but this years cruise wasn't good at all. The parked cars were fine but the cruise itself had more average cars then anything I can remember. We were in Birmingham so close to some of yours, like the Motor Werks but I was into it at all.

I agree, it was pretty awful. I don't know what the deal with it was, I never remember traffic being that sparse on Dream Cruise Saturday. I mean I drove right to downtown Birmingham, with no traffic and just parked at a meter.

I'm guessing its because of all the stuff going on. Probably a lot of people come from far away and don't want to worry about filling up the gas tanks so often. I think I saw more new Chargers, Challengers, Mustangs, and Camaros then the old ones. But nothin I can do, I'm still glad I went but the cruise, eh.

where are all the hot rods and muscle cars? wasted event coverage!!! I did not see a single intresting car being the main subject of any pic (Well, the V8 Austin Healey is neat), yet there wer tons in the bg, overlooked, that looked awesome. bummer!

come on dude, how could you be so unsensible? I mean... SASSY GRASS GREEN FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!!!!!!!

who gets TWO pictures of an Exige and leaves out a 71 Cuda? I just cant fathom it...

Awseome shots man. The owner of that GTX1 sounds like a great guy. It's those sort of people that you think SHOULD be driving those cars - not the selfish ones who drive them, don't talk to anyone - and them put them in a garage never to be seen for another 20 years.

Good stuff 👍

American muscle cars bore me to tears which is why I didn't really photograph any of them. I found a green Exige far more interesting than that green Dodge. Maybe it's where I grew up and everyone seem to have an old muscle car, but they bore me and the owners for the most part annoy me.

The GTX1 though was probably my favourite spot of the day, followed by the Trabant.
