Worst cars and performance can think of.

I was looking on the topgear website when i noticed a car company called Aixam, when i saw the car it only had 2 different engine types 0.4i or 0.4d or 400cc each! I was thinking what an awful, awful car i then thought well i bet it would have a high BHP nope just a puny insignificant 5bhp and top speed was a painfull 28mph.

That's some engine! Wow! 120bhp per litre! Cool!

OK, this an oldie, but the Chevette Diesel with automatic transmission tested at more than 30 seconds from 0-60mph.

Then there is the VW desiel, it makes a paultry 20 HP, but can propell the accompanying car to around 65MPH and gets 265 (odd) MPG.

yeah, there are quite a few bad oldies, when my uncle returned from the war, he decided to buy a fiat 500, top speed was 50-60mph, 20bhp, struggled to get anywhere except downhill, mind u it was one of the good cheap cars u could afford back then, still such a puny car but a super car compared to the aixam 400.
Neon-duke i am suprised that corvette reached 60mph at all ,even that VW diesel i find it strange that an engine designed for garden mowers manage to find thier way into cars.

Yes but the car weighs around 200kg, and gets 260some mile per gallon, and looks like a ****ing awesome car!

No, because it's not a like-for-like comparison. It's like comparing an NA engine with a forced-induction engine.

Wait - you guys were talking about poor-preforming cars and this wasn't invited?

Giles will tell you it's the Nissan Serena, but I'm not so sure. I think it's just a motorcycle engine pulling a van body. In any case, the diesel version does zero to sixty in just a hair under 29 seconds. If you don't think that's too bad, try counting to 29 seconds, then think how long on-ramps are.

OMG!!! This was described by Top Gear Magazine as being a duvet on wheels! I just love checking out the live axle when following them, but they're so goddamn slow that you don't follow them for long! I was driven in one once, and I swear, there was no feeling of acceleration at all.

It is, ladies and gentlement, a shed, on wheels, with a lawnmower engine in it.

! This is from the 11-01 issue of car magazine:

"[The Serena is] an utterly awful van-based MPV. If not for the unarguable eight-seat utility and the price tag, the Serena would probably beat the Camaro for our coveted title of worst car on sale in Britain today. Lots of space but mechanically depressing drive, appaling ride, and lichen-forming preformance...
Spec notes: 'It's simple - don't.'
Replacement date: Soon, please.
Rivals: Any other wheeled vehicle
But also try: Wheelbarrow, donkey
Our choice: Not in a million years."

The worst car i can think of is the wait for it the ROBIN RELIANT wit the fek possesed these ***** to build such a hunk of crap

i was watching one of those police shows on TV about joyriders etc and it had a chase involving one of these stupid cars
The driver of the reliant was taking the mickey out of the cops it was quite funny

u guys are talking about robin reliants and that van thing, excuse me but you will find that those cars are super cars compared to the worst car road legal today the Aixam 400, top speed 28mph, after 1920 i don't think there was a car in the world with a 400cc or smaller engine my eyes would pop out if i saw a car with an even smaller engine with a cruddier performance than that!!
Though i agree korean cars have quite poor performances.

The van was meant to compete with the Zafria (and failed, miserably, though I did find when looking back on my pictures of sights in London and Paris that several Serenas slipped into them).

The Aixam 400 is a microcar which was never sold in masses and is not even considered a car in the one place it was sold (France).

Under 30 hp? Try 2hp.

CV stands for "cheval" which is French for horse. :)

Given the age of the 2CV, and what it was intended for, I think that's a little unfair.

My personal pointless car of the moment is the Honda Insight. High price, no handling, no acceleration, two seats and no luggage room - oh yeah, and dud resale. If I want a hybrid I can pay less and get a sensible Prius.

Smart car was NOT such a good idea though i suppose as i last resort and if my money was at lowest i'd have to get one coz they are cheap and easy to run.
So is there any u can think of with less than 5hp, and only 400cc?
