This is a place to discuss bad drivers causing issues in room and races. tell us your funny stories and bad stories you have had to deal with.

To start things off, i was lapping in my MX5 Roadster, it has been set up to the Mazda specs that we are using for a series Me and some friends are running. The Track was Willow Springs Big Willow, Trying to lap clean and some dude in that tomahawk was using me as a large bullseye/target, this car is already starting to make me mad. They need to add the SR drop and driver rating to a lobby that the host can turn on or off.To make things worse then some fella in a 4wd lancer started drifting the wring way around the track, thank god i have a race grid of 16 drivers who like to join our lobbies.

A few days ago we where hosting some N200 racing with fuel and tire wear on, we ,got to penultimate and the 1st and 2nd all forgot to pit and ran out of fuel so i take 1st, moments later half the grid rage quit because they where not clever enough to check their fuel gauge.

Its not a specific example, but I'm growing a little tired of the Gr.4 GTR being able to simply push other cars out of the way in slow corners. You have to get on the inside otherwise a GTR driver can just get in there and move your car out of their way. It seems harder to do it myself to them...

My most intense race so far, was a GR3 race, cant remember the name of the track but it was a decent length and a 5 lapper.
I qualified in 6th but managed to jump to 3rd by the end of the first lap, the two ahead were in the distance already and i had a GTR on my tail. Shortly into the second lap the GTR knocked me off the track because he clearly hadn't braked at all for the corner so used me as the barrier!... not happy! But undeterred i got back on track and worked on pulling him back in.
On the third lap i pulled him back in and worked on cleanly passing him to set an example, i got infront but shortly after he decided to knock me off again in the exact same fashion as before, not a coincidence i think.
So yet again i was on a mission to pull him back in, i was on his ass half way round the final lap but to be fair to him he was managing to hold me off cleanly and effectively, but nay i saw an opening, the last corner he over-committed braking slightly too late in his attempt to keep in front of me, with him running wide i managed to dive inside and pass him one final time to take the podium finish!
Thankfully on this day the good guy won! ..and the GTR driver was dropped down an SR rating! :)

I have to agree with gtr drivers forcing themselves to your inside when you clearly shut the door on them or were defending position. If you leave half the width of a car they will nudge in and pass. 9/10 times they usually crash from being out of control or too many cut track and ramming penalties cause them to loose placing.

I’d say... Forgetting to calibrate my pedals with conical mod at the start of a race and ramming the leader (started 3rd). Of my own doing but I’ve had generally trouble free races.

I try to stay away from speedway races unless they are on BB Raceway, but someone in a discord server I'm in was purposely PIT maneuvered during an Atenza race. BS like that should be an auto DQ and DR/SR rank drop.

You cant see who did this specifically, so I'll post a video.

The worst turn 1 crash in a Sport race I've seen. Guy wiped out 3 cars big time

edit: sound doesnt match up for some reason. Ill fix it later

Haha what the hell? He was clearly on the breaks, yet he smashed into that guy with such force that they both seemed to glitch out. I guess he could've chosen an earlier brake point, but he was clearly surprised by the Evo that suddenly took the inside line at the last minute.

I had to double take that video. If you look at the radar there's a car that randomly doesn't slow down. I think he intentionally rammed him causing him to spin like crazy.

So today, Nurburgring gp, grade 3 cars 10 lap race in sport mode.

Early in the race me and another guy break away from everyone, for 8 laps we raced neck and neck changing positions several times, running solid consistent 2 minute laps. Then we caught up to the stragglers. First guy we passed easily, he let us go. Second guy, swerving all over the road to block, i see my chance and pass him, as the other guy went to pass him, the guy being lapped swerved over on a straightaway, bashing the other guy into the grass and effectively ruining the race. He rage quit.

I'm all alone now, we had 30 second gap on 3rd. Final lap on the second last straight away I'm lapping another guy, I carried much more speed out of a corner and was flying by him, when I was beside him he swerved over and tried to take me out. I saved it, got in front just to have him bump my bumper again in the corner, not hard, but enough to effect sportsmanship rating.

Well I won the race, by a lot, but my sportsmanship dropped because of all the lapping covfefe.

The worst part is they ruined the great race I had going on with the other dude.

Since I have been driving the weekly Group 4 races in Sport Mode, a ton of terrible S ranked Sportsmanship drivers can't race clean at all. Missiles, and random brake checks on straightaways. It sucks that others ruin the online experience just because they think they can missile through a corner. And the ranking system really doesn't hold any value since if you get slammed into then that person spins. It's a penalty for you without question. I just hit S and with one driver who failed to brake. I went back down to A. I am hoping that they fix the system in any way because I am starting to question the life span of this game. I do realize that it's a new direction in the franchise but we all understand that this is by far a complete game. It's like playing Prologue in a way.

And often its also the problem from one whos getting passed because allot of times i am on the inside and clearly the better line and still people come to the inside, iam braking then because i will not crash for people like that and pass them then a few corners anyway.

People needs to relax and accept that sometimes someone is faster. The same that people that drive clean can adjust to idiots that cant so you save your self and your rating and accept p4 instead of p3.

Thats how i race now and i have fun with it and can be proud on p4 ;)

I can say I have had 3 or 4 races out of the hundreds I have raced which have been clean, a few days back I was in a 10 lap race at Bathurst where one clown was sitting at the end of turn one where the run off strip is targeting cars as they were going through the turn, he clearly was not there to race at all just picking cars off.
And another at Dragons trail seaside 1 who was driving the wrong way around the course it is becoming frustrating to find clean racers, I'm not the fastest but hold moderate times and try my best to race clean so I'm hoping I can find some clean racers here to run some laps with.

It's called defending your position a completely legal move in racing. Unless your lapped traffic you have every right to set a defense or close the door. Many many people are unaware of this. Just because there's enough track to keep you from getting a penalty for corner cutting doesn't mean that the door is open for a pass.

Out of 3 races I've done so far since official release, only 1 was anything resembling clean. It was the Atenza speedway race (who thought this was a good idea?). I started on pole and generally stayed there. Everyone near me behaved themselves and didn't try to just plow everyone in turn 3.

The second race I ran there was not so competent- from first place to tenth in a matter of seconds because apparently, the best way to slow down for that last turn is to just use the cars ahead of you instead of your brakes. Interesting strategy, I had not practiced that. It was a dogpile. Not sure what you are supposed to do about that from first place...

Then in the Gr.4 race at Kyoto, there was one driver near the front that had set a fairly competent qualifying time. I went wide in one important turn and they got a run on me. I let them take the position and tucked in behind. A few turns later, they started squirming coming out of a hairpin. I went for a pass only to have them quickly sideswipe me on to the grass. Okay, maybe they were still trying to recover from the hairpin struggles. Couple laps later, I manage to get by in another hairpin by taking a late apex after they went wide. For some reason, they again sideswiped into me as I went by. That was the last of my encounters with this individual but at the end of the race, after the lead was out of reach, they decided to try and ruin others' race on the final straight. Luckily the game recognized this and ghosted them.

What is with the all or nothing mentality people take with this game? Is second place not good enough? Maybe the top three positions need to be featured on the winner's screen instead of just first place. I am no longer under any illusion that this is going to be the worst of my encounters but I was hoping it wouldn't be this bad. Guess I shouldn't be too surprised after seeing what was left on GT6's public servers a few months ago...

Iam not unaware if iam 70% next to someone you dont close the door.

Arse hole in the GR4 race at Kyoto..
I had let him pass cleanly as he had a run on me on the long downhill straight but I was much faster in the corners.
He ballsed up every corner after that and tried to intentionally ram me.
Luckily he was ghosting at the time.
Final corner he rams me to take 3rd and I drop to 6th.
End of the race he is demoted to 6th due to penalties but cost me a podium.

The issue I spotted is that it seems that ppl close, but are not aware that a car is inside, dunno if they have no mirror or looking at spotters, but they are no closing before the other driver is going to make the move, but really really late so that the driver is not able to brake to avoid any hit.
In this lead always for penalty for both... sadly.

Gr. 4 and Gr. 3 seriously need re-balancing, it's all GTRs in the top places and PD always does this in every game, they make the GTR the OP car on purpose.

But what does that have to do with this topic?

What is it with people intentionally pushing you off track? I was in a Gr.4 race yesterday against another GTR, and at the chicane I got a great exit and my opponent had a poor one, so I get to his inside before the right corner, and he just tries pushing me off track. Once all four tires are off track my wheel snaps and the contact spins him. I'm fine with you making my overtake challenging, but don't be an idiot and deliberately try to ruin my race.

Still somehow got the 150% bonus.

Some ass hat GTR who had the fastest quali time by over a second in C C and was leading the whole race. He spun out on the last corner and then spent the the whole straight crashing into and blocking as many people as he could. He got demoted to SR E.

I went from 6th to 3rd though because of this tantrum.

Haha. After 100% Golding the single player "career" mode I thought it was time to start with the online races. I spent hours and hours in the closed and open beta and had high hopes this time the online experience would be better. How naive someone can be :) .

Kyoto track is laugable. Some racers use your car as a side wall brake while taking the long curves and that results in a penalty for....yes me?
And then suddenly a car who decided to race the opposite direction and bang asmany cars as possible. He/she must have had a hopefully great enjoyable time by doing this.

My goal is clean racing and better end in the midpack in stead of screw others pleasure to be come first at all cost. At this moment I think GT Sport will be used for scapes, livery editor and some time trials. For online racing I better use other sims with less public. But quality over quantity is what counts for me. I'm getting too old for this. ;)

I was doing the Blue Moon Bay race a few days ago and someone shoved me into the wall. That's ok, that happens, but I lost speed going into the long straight. Every car that passed me on that straight, felt it necessary to bump into me. That didn't help my SR much, as you can imagine.

Also, I got a 6 second penalty for slightly cutting the superfast ss'es on the Kyoto Gr. 4 daily race. If I did gain any advantage of that, it would have been no more then a tenth of a second. A 6 second penalty seems a bit harsh.

FIA stewards give 5 seconds easily for corner cutting ;)

Such people should be ashamed of their selves, LOL.

This guy won a race that I was leading since turn 5 (I started behind Romain, who's in the top10 too).

He decided it was a good idea to pushed me to the gravel on the last corner (lap 7) and then, on the first corner of the last lap he basically went straight to force the guy who was beside him off track too.

At this level, this is unacceptable and should automatically give him a DNF. I, as everyone else, have dealt with a few bumps here and there during intense and close racing but this is pure dirty driving.

The penalty system clearly failed here.

(name is not shown).

I shared the full race ingame, if you want to see it by yourself.

I've done lots of races with some fast guys who made a mistake and bumped me or something like that (I accidentally did that already myself and when I do I ALWAYS give back the position). But this is on another level. Pushing people off track like they're AI just to claim a win is unacceptable and this guy and others like him should immediately get a DNF. At this level ( there were 4 or 5 guys with qualifying laps of 1:55:XXX) this shouldn't be tolerated.

I was at the point of rage quitting seriously. If by any chance he reads this post and watches the video I hope he learns something.

And I have no problem sharing this. If you do something dirty so bluntly to get pass me to win a race, you'll end up famous. Because I do not do this type of things I'm OK if people share all my races.

Some people can really kill your moments of fun.

Naming and shaming is not allowed here.
