WRC v2.0 Stage Five: Tahiti II

We were looking at making this a 10 round race series so everyone gets a chance to drive all the different cars. Because there's only 4 Rally Stages (8 including reverse) we needed to include a street circuit as well. I couldn't think of a better one than SS5 Wet for putting a rally car through it's paces

Unfortunately you can't run Arcade Rally cars on the street circuits so where gonna have to go with Tahiti II instead.

As were running abit behind this week I've extended the deadline to Tuesday. So if everyone can send there times in via PM to either myself or AltF8 by Tuesday 19th April 2002 PM.

my ntsc game will not let me choose a arcade rally car for this course.

should i use an untouched/no oil change 206?
or is everybodys like this?

I never thought of that! I just assumed you could use the Rally Cars on any of the tracks!

Ok were gonna have to run Tahiti II instead I think. I'll go and change the main Thread so everyone can see it.

Oh no i got the stupid xsara , i hate it lucky it's on free run or it would be really bad , that thing can't start very well at all

BTW , Which Tahiti II GVX? circuit or maze

You oughta try the Evo VII Prototype on the maze. I used to hate it 'cause I had a hard time controlling it. After I figured out to be gentle on the throttle I outdid myself on the Maze last round. It's great for the hairpins; it seems to be able to switch ends if I just think about turning. :-)

Lotus350 - The Xsara is a quick motor. Don't discount before giving it a go!

sorry i missed the last couple of tracks. i was partying in Daytona Beach for Spring Break. but i'm back now and looking to get into the full swing of things again. that is if you'll still have me. 😈

Looks like there's been a few other people who have forgotten to PM there times to me aswell! You know who you are On the off chance of getting some more times in I'm gonna extend the deadline by one day. So if everyone can get a time to me by end of today (Wed. 20th March.)

Wow! I thought my time was miserably slow, compared to doing the forward course. How many laps did you guys put in for these times?

I probably did a couple dozen laps over 4 or 5 evenings.

Put in about 30 laps I guess. The Escort was really bad for this track and I don't think I could have improved much more over my time. Tahiti II is definitely much slower than normal way round too.

i ran 20 laps. i think that my time could have been improved, but i ran out of time to try. could have got gvx i think, but not by as much as was needed to catch frentzey.

maintaining speed was the factor for the 206 b/c in a couple of corners you could bog the motor and if you downshift it spins so getting that part right was tricky.

I done 20 laps max! I thought the 1st corner was losing me a lot of time, but didn't stay on it long enough to find the best braking point so i just settled for what i had which weren't as bad as i'd imagined it would be
