You got nice pics of your latest WRS race and want to show them to the community ?
Posting them in the results thread will ensure that your pics can be seen for one single week before the thread is moved to the archive. Post them here instead and they will be accessible for ever.

First post (technically ;))

Here as a placeholder, because I planned to get some nice shots of my go-faster-yellow RS4 this week :cool:

EDIT - Don't ask about the submission.. I've posted my final time in the results thread, I know it can't be counted, I simply forgot :embarrassed:

Just did a quick shoot from a couple of angles, and this one came out the best of the bunch.
Some moderate photoshopping on this one, just contrast, brightness and focuses. Had to get a shot of this powerslide :) That's taken from my fastest lap. It's intentionally a little dark, and anyway Tokyo's shadows make everything dark. A surprisingly hard car to photograph.

Yes they do, in my experience, but I have no idea how long it takes or what decides which ones expire :indiff: I have some older photos that are still being hosted with no problems and some new-ish pictures that I've had to re-upload. That could just be some broken links though, I'm not certain that they've actually expired.

Looks good! This car is just soooo menacing and LOW and wide and LONG. Love it! Now if only the front wheels were pushed forward a couple of inches for better balance and less understeer... Could I borrow your Pshopping skills by chance on that one picture above of the grid, please please please?

Here's a fiddled version of your grid photo... It's really hard to make the front straight at Tokyo look good :ouch: and this one is a little saturated, but even so I quite like it. Hope you do too 👍

Lucky shot, first try got the car at it's highest point of the mini-jump after the turn from T3:

Very nice pics 👍 Might be an idea to post thumbnails or preview size pics that link to the actual pics so that each page of this thread doesn't become a chore downloading...nevertheless, some sweet pictures being posted :) Really like the Audi cornering by DarkElite too I might add
 
dont know what week it was, but one was the vette at the (autumn) ring and the other yellowbird at apricot :D

 
nicely done pink... its really hard to get good photos on trial mountain. (the lighting is awful anywhere the scenery is good).

1st one is the best, i like the soft glow on the hightlights. 👍

thanks.... i always loved the silhouette of the Gt-One.
doing the effect requires alot more photoshop than photomode.
take a photo on a place in the track where the car is lit from above and off to one side. (this one was between the tunnels after T2... works perfect since the background and pavement are in shadow so they washout without needing to do any coverup work)
take a picture of the dark side. The top of the car is lit a significant ammount more than the side... so you can then pull it into photoshop, tinker with the brightness, contrast, levels, curves, and saturation etc... until the liquid lines of the car's highlights are the only thing left.

oddly enough there was actually more adjustment requred in getting a decently well-lit back straight shot.
 
Mmm... Great shots there, Dr_Watson. I like that "sum-up" of other WRS weeks. What was that week 28 car? Looked interesting...

BTW, do you know there is a sub-forum named "Weekly Race Series Archive" at the top of the WRS forum, which contains all races since "Supraman" in February 2003 ? No thread has ever been deleted so you just have to search the WRS memory when you need some info about what has already been raced.
 
C'mon, Pink. That stuff is good... If those Pixelly People wouldn't have messed with it, it'd look real.
 
Wish I had some extra time on the PS2 to take some Week 67 Photos, or finish my next set for my gallery...

But all of my (little) PS2 time is taken up by the search for a good Week 68 car...
