WRX STI , EVO VIII , mazda RX-8 or 350Z

Hey

my dad is getting kinda old lol(53) and he wants to buy a car with kickass acceleration and that sort of stuff

when i was young he used to have some modified passat 1.8t

which were really great but they were front wheel drive

anyway heres my point

he dont know what to buy between those 4 cars

evo 8 = he doesnt know much cauze he wants to keep the car for like 5 years or more (not like 2 years like hes doing now lol) and he doesnt know much about fiability of the evo

wrx sti = his dream car what can i say !


rx-8 = its more of a refine looking car than those 2 above, but it still has some good acceleration

350z = its the only 2 seater of the bunch so he doesnt know...

STi, i just like it better than all the other cars. The 350Z is not that great at all. Too much hype on that car. The G35 Coupe is so much better. The Mazda RX-8 is alright, but it doesnt have the BEAST look like from that hood scoop on the STi

The Evo7 was probably the least reliable Mitsubishi ever produced, the Evo8 is much more user friendly.

If hes looking for acceleration and doesn't mind having 2 seats why doesn't he just go for a Supra or a Skyline?

Out of them 4 I would prollys go for the Evo 8.

Because he lives in the US, and a Skyline would be about three times the price of the highest-priced vehicle he's considering...

I see, You can get 2 year old Skylines here for about the same price as an Evo 8.

I'd never buy a brand new car they depreciate way too much.

I would go for the 350Z. I heard the RX-8 doesn't have enough torque to oversteer like the RX-7, but it looks fun

The EvoVIII is a fun car to drive. The STi may be a pain in the neck because it doesn't come standard with a radio

I was thinking the same thing, though nobody can accuse the Supra of having four usable seats. I'd assume it's the same for the Skyline.

I can comment on two of the mentioned cars. If he doesn't mind a stiff ride, an Evo would be great. Four doors, plenty of room. If he wants more of a luxury car that can still get up and go, the G35 coupe is the way to go. My dad just bought a blue one, 6 spd. Rides like a luxury car, but has the soul of a Z car.

Well after looking at the comparison tests done by C&D on both the Evo 8 and New WRX STi, I'd go for the Evo 8. Though it doesnt have as much power as the STi, it has better handling than the STi which tends to understeer when the power is off. I like them both though. Dont go for the 350Z. One reason why is when you open the trunk . The RX8 is nice too . I'd go for either the EVO8 or the STI...

and the supra is no more in the production line of toyota

and he doesnt want a used car

if the supra could have like 20 k miles that would be the maximum at which he could CONSIDER getting one

and as i saw the supra is a seater...well i think

and well hes a president of a compagny so he wants a kinda luxurious car...i thought about the rx-8 cauz he could easily put a turbo on it and increase the hp by much

and euh...as for the radio...who give a ****( i put the stars )

If he is looking to mod the car, don't get a RX-8. If he's looking for something with space, a nice ride, good acceleration, and something that is fun to drive and not a pain, then get the RX-8.

The Evo's got more space than the RX-8, and they all have nice rides and good acceleration.

I recommend the STi, since it's his 'dream car,' though I would recommend the RX-8 if it didn't look like the Pontiac Aztek Coupe.

I'd either get an STI or a 350z. I love everything about the STI except the lack of stereo (which seems really stupid) and the 350z is just cool. My dad owns an 03 WRX (not an STI) and I've driven it a bunch of times and it's pretty damn fast so I'm going to assume the STI is a rocket even though I've never driven it. I've also never driven a 350z, but just sitting in one makes me want it. hehe I don't really like the styling of the RX8. I love the RX7 FC and FD, but the RX8 just looks ugly to me. The EVO 8 is pretty nice too but having seen tons of riced out Lancer OZ editions and stuff for the last year or so I can't really look at the EVO the same way anymore. They should've released the EVO first, then come out with the crappy model lancers for the wannabes later.

If your dad really doesn't mind the compromises he should chose between a car from above.... but why not an BMW 3 or AUDI S4.... or....; those cars sure do give a lot of driving fun and sensation. (and can compete very well with the cars above!)

and has for the BMW M3 and the AUDI S4

its like 10k more in canadian dollar and he want to spend those 10k to mod his car( not rice)

Tha Sti or tha 350z... Both great cars but tha 350 is more sportier... Tha sti tho has 4wheeldrive so u can go and have fun off road whit it... (Dont go doiin jumps tho) but if he has a contry home or sumthin (un chalet... jsavai po comment dire ca en anglais) he'd better go whit one of tha 4wheelers (tha evo is mitsubishi and Mitsu dosent have a real good reputation as 4 fiablility...)

The M3 is more like 30 K more expensive than the cars you mentioned. But no mods are required on that beast. Unless you are crazy and want to put some twin turbos and have like 800 hp at the wheels. Like I already saw some ppl tune a Lamborghini Diablo by putting some twin turbos. How ****ed up is that?!
