So, have a question on what to do regarding an audio problem for my one.
To give some back story, on my X360, I originally ran it through my PC monitor. That meant I ended up needing to buy their VGA DVI HD Cable connector so that I had a way my computer speakers to be used.
I'm running this same setup again, however, the One runs on an HDMI cable. My monitor (LG IPS 27") has an HDMI output, but it does not have any speakers, thus I need to buy another cable like above. Otherwise, I can play everything without sound which kind of ruins the whole experience....
However, after googling, it doesn't appear Microsoft has or will be making one with a HDMI connector instead of the old VGA. So, I'm not sure what to do. Is there a 3rd party cable/box I can buy? I am admittedly looking at buying new speakers as well, but I have a feeling that won't solve my problem, either?
My new rig has an HDMI outlet on it as well, but my brain tells me that would be akin to sticking a fork in a plug outlet.
Edit*
Wow, I'm a . Looking just a little closer revealed an audio jack for the monitor. Smh.... Mods close please.
