X-mas shopping online?

Some things are hard to find in the store.(ie. Dapper Dan Hair Treatment from the movie O Brother Where Art Though?...for my father-in-law) Do any of you buy your gifts for others online?

I haven't personally bought gifts online yet, but my aunt has been sending me books through Amazon.com for several years now. Works quite well... she can just order them, and they get mailed straight to me.

my ipod came from the internet because i got a good deal out of it...but even then, it was weeks ago for my high school graduation


oh, and no store within 20 miles of my place had 20 gigs at the standard price of 579 (canadian)
