Yes... it's Bryan Singer.

The third X-Men movie made the most money at the box office ($459 million worldwide) but many fans found it unsatisfying, and Donner Shuler, choosing her words carefully, made it clear that she is ready for Singer to come back to the mutant universe. "He has an authorship, I feel, and I love all of my directors but with Bryan I would send him e-mails saying 'Where are you? You should be here.' "

They're also planning X-Men 4... and they're waiting on Singer to do it.

I'm stoked. Totally. 👍

My vote out of those guys goes to David Slade .The guy can make a fabulous driven movie and through in some more action than usual and we'd get one hell of an X-Men movie xD .

Sadly, though, it appears that they really will have to hunt. Singer's got other commitments at the moment, and when the studio saw his script, they demanded it be filmed now... right now. Agh.

Clap.Clap.Clap.

Wife and I enjoyed it immensely. It was dark, brooding in parts, funny in others and very action packed. And the ending was suitably dramatic, epic and very X-Men. One part triumphant, two parts tragic.

The whole retro-vibe suits the X-men perfectly... while I'm sure some will be put off by the liberties they took with story, that's not any worse than the retconning and reinvention they're doing with the comics right now... and it packages the back-stories and origins of some of the characters for the other films in the series quite nicely.

This is, by far, the best X-Men movie yet... probably one of the best Marvel Movies yet, too. Definitely a step up from the Avengers series, so far, and a welcome reboot after the wretched X-Men III and Wolverine.

A good addition to the franchise, watched it with a mate in the city and we both enjoyed the flow of the movie, it had a natural pace that was pleasant. 9/10
