Man, X-Men was incredible! I totally loved Patric Stuart as Proffessor Xavier. He really fits that role well. Does anyone know if there is going to be a sequel? There are so many great stories to tell about the X-Men, and so many more characters to bring into the theator.

DON'T UNDERSTAND...

Wolverine is physically a small person. Hugh is physically a large person. He doesn't fit the role.

But Patric Stuart fits Prof. X's roll quite well.

Thanks for fielding that, I was slow to respond. :)

There's definitely going to be a sequel. I heard that one of the actresses had had to turn down another role because of the filming of X-Men 2. Apparently they're going to develop the kids in the school, some are going to grow up and become X-Men themselves.

Can't wait myself, I thought the first film was excellent - much more thought-provoking than I had anticipated.

take a look at what i found:

"X" will mark the spot again in movie theaters in 2003.

According to Variety, studio 20th Century Fox has announced the release date for "X-Men 2," the sequel to the 2000 blockbuster that yielded over $300 million in ticket sales worldwide.

The film will tentatively start shooting in Canada in May, and will be released on May 2, 2003. Cast members Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), Halle Berry (Storm) and Patrick Stewart (Professor X) are all on board to return, as is director Bryan Singer.

Singer told Variety that the film will introduce new characters, but wants to keep their identities a "surprise."

"X-Men" isn't the only big screen comic-book adaptation on the slate for summer, 2003. Also expected is Universal's big screen adaptation of "The Hulk," directed by "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" helmer Ang Lee.

Comic book fans won't have to wait long, however, for another big-screen fill. "Spider-Man," directed by "A Simple Plan" and "Evil Dead" filmmaker Sam Raimi, will bow in theaters in May, 2002.

Apparently they're having to redo a significant portion of Spiderman as there's a fairly lengthy scene involving a helicopter being caught in a web strung between the twin towers of the World Trade Center.
