XLINK play GT4 ONLINE FOR FREE STICKY!

i dont know which moderator deleted my post about xlink.. it was a good 1, i am quite frustrated... you have to understand most people dont sit on forums all day and search all the different forums or FAQ's just for a topic they want info about.. for example i am not a internet forum junky, personally i searched "GT4 Online" in the search box prior to starting my thread. unfortunately absolutely NOTHING came up, the only thread close to online play was the "do u think gt4 is incomplete" and a vast # of people in that thread have complained about online play! My point is the average person who is not a forum junky browses the first page of a forum section... nothing interesting, click on the next forum.. browse 1st page.. nothing exciting move on.. what i am trying to say is your FAQ XLINK thread is useless.. when i started to figure out how to play gt4 online i search gt4 online, not a thread called XLINK startup guide.. do u get my drift?

a sticky titled "PLAY GT4 ONLINE FOR FREE WITH XLINK' on the MAIN page is required
please dont disregard others who dont browse forums 24/7. honest to god..

this said when a new user comes onto gtplanet they will actually see the sticky on the top of the forum.. and with the PROPER thread title that would entice the user to try and play online.. instead of a vague plain title like xlink startup guide.. im sure if they have already figured out what xlink is and could not get it 2 work they would search teh forums on XLINKS website.. not gtplanets..

i cannot stand watching 100's of halo 1 users play on KAI and only 15 GT4... i really dont understand it, i mean if you get it 2 work, im sure you have friends that live in the same town with ps2 and gt4 that you could advise them on xlink...

remeber xlink is not just for ps2.. it works for any LAN enable console game. xbox, 360, gc, psp, ps2 etc..

let this thread live.. more people will c it and try xlink kai, or do u think people when they realy want info about online gt4 play they search in the forums for XLINK Startupguide? please

So all this is to complain about the thread title in our FAQ? You're not actually giving any information here.

I certainly don't think this post is sticky material.

For one, another sticky already contains xlinking faq's (actually, 2 or three threads related to gt4 online...). A new sticky is not necessary in the least - it will only serve to clutter this forum further.

Secondly, if you searched for gt4 online and found nothing you are quite clearly misusing the search tool. There's a plethora of information available:

One of the xlinking threads that the FAQ links to is called 'GT4 playable online via xlink' - so whether you search for gt4 online, or gt4 xlink, that thread will come up in your results.

Thirdly - playing online requires a few things:

1. your PS2 must be relatively close to a highspeed internet connection. Fine for me in my dorm room, but not possible for many people.
2. a ps2 slim, or online adapter. Many people do not have this and are unwilling to spend on it.
3. a router or cat-5 switch allowing your PS2 and PC to share a connection
Those three things alone will limit players​

I find it highly unlikely that anyone that does meet those criteria will not know about xlink and how they can get gt4 online with it. Your post is old news to those is directed towards.

Fourth point:
The lag experienced with the online experience is unbearable for many players. It totally removes any sensation of speed from the gameplay.

Lastly - if the mods deemed it necessary to remove your prior thread, I'd be quite suprised if this one didn't suffer the same fate. You had your chance to state your case already and no one bought it. An innocent slip-up the first time I suppose - but this borders on ignorance.
