"Yellow Bird" specific tuning

This is like a 4 part question:

I need some assistance with this car the RUF "Yellow Bird" edition. I am in the Super Car Challenge and this is like the only car I have to race with. This car does not handle at all, it won't corner and its like it has no brakes at all. I have but the full custom suspension and the brake controller. I am on the last race which is the Infelion Raceway (sp?) and I hate that track anyway. Any tuning tips would be appreciated. I have bought basically everything for this car already and I cant A spec it or B spec it and win, all I have is 4th place.

I have a Suburu WRX STi with 499hp. but it wont let me into that cup to race it, the 493hp+ is keeping me out, why?

Also it says production cars right? Then why is there a Cadillac CEIN racing but I cant race mine in it?

Which car have you guys had the best luck with in the Super Car Cup?

I don't have my PS with me so I can't check but are you sure that the cup doesn't already have a set of cars already defined as being supercars. If this is the case then you'll have to chose one of the cars on the list that can enter the race.

The power figure may still be the problem. Check how much power your Impreza has in the stats sheet, not the garage list view. I bet it's less than 493 bhp and your problem is right there.

Make the Yellowbird softish, harder rear than front springs, with the front camber at 1.5 and the rear camber at 1.5 to 2.5 and it should begin to behave to some extent.

The CTR has very specific handling characteristics. It's one of those cars you have to learn to adapt your driving to suit it, and not try to change the car to suit you. If you search for threads on this car in this forum you will find others with similar sentiments.

Once you get used to it you will find it is very intuitive to drive, you only have to look into the corner and the car will follow through. fwiw I think the stock suspension is very hard to improve upon, even when the rest of the car is fully modified and lightened. Maybe a little stiffer for tracks other than the 'ring, but make changes in small steps.

Ultimately it's a car to enjoy driving, rather than one for trying to make a full-on racer out of, but each unto their own. If you want a well-tuned old-style porsche, you ought try the MFT 'Blackbird' based on the Ruf BTR.
