Hey this post is dedicated to playn, kenny, and slash

These three guys have helped me a ton in getting involved in the GT World.

I wish more people would be like them online, and recognize to help a fellow player and not just boot him because he is having a hard time learning something new.

Thank you for your advice, time, and help.

That was just wrong lol. But funny as hell.

@jreb- No problem bro. I wouldn't be as far along as I am today if I didn't get help in the beginning. The best thing to do instead of giving thanks is to simply pay it forward. Remember the help you were given and when you can try to help out others.👍

I gotta send out a big thanks to slash, dlr -aka iwin-,nutz34 and vqpro, these guys have pointed me in the right direction with my tunes while still letting me figure some things out for myself. Thanks guys.

That's what I'm here for. You guys are all welcome. I get more out of helping anyways.

True that, everybody started at the bottom but with some help from somebody here we are, sharing knowledge and lending a hand where ever is needed. It's good to help I've done it a couple times already online and it feels good when everbody is competitive and not just blowing people away while racing.

Honestly ive had my days where im cocky and ill admit some days i havent been the nicest, but other times i can be helpful. Im always about a car to 2 cars slower than the fast men mentioned in this post and hope some day i can be just as quick as them. Im above your average and so close to these legends but in the end i fall short. Sickning when i line up knowing i cant win against some people but dont know how to improve my tunes. None the less reguarding the OP, i have followed many of these gentlemens posts, and i have learned much from them. Many thanks to these guys and i hope to run some of them some time.

You'll get there. The best thing I can suggest is to pick a car and bash your head in until you're within 0.050 of the "best" times people are posting up for that car.

In fact, I see very little reason for anyone who has SSRX to be unable to at least eventually be no more than a front clip behind "the best" given an even launch.

^This. It takes patience and alot of trial and error. All my cars I consider good I have put quite a bit of time into. I've spent 2-3 hours at a time working on 1 car before. The ones I haven't put time in shows, they are mediocre at best. Just keep at it and don't get discouraged.

i like to consider myself as helpful :) there is alot of help our there you just gotta know where to find it.

This so true everytime I start on a car I spend more than an hour on it and I read some guys post that "after 15 min of tampering with it they come up with a fast time", not that I'm hating, it's just that I find it hard to beleive, you could be good but you have to spend time with it, it's not like magic. At least thats the vibe I pick when I read that kind of post.

well i know i dont really visit this section of the forum but i want to say thanks too.
kennyblanco helped me alot in learning how to tune and with one specific tune that was awsome!. so, thank you!

I consider myself quite helpful towards people who want to learn

You are bro.👍 Its up to them whether or not they're willing to learn. You have helped a good many people with tuning advice.👍

No need to thank me bro. Just pay it forward.👍

I'm being legit. You gave me a lot of tips when I was just starting out. I still view you as superior to me.

I've got no problem giving someone a hand if they at least show me they're trying.

Before we got SSRX, I was halfassed clueless about what I was actually doing, and with nobody to really run against I got frustrated and gave up a few times. Fixed my PS3, came back a bit after, started meeting people. I picked up a few tips here and there, but the biggest thing was finding a way to actually show whether I'd improved my tune any or not. After I started to figure certain things out, I wound up managing to come within half a car of pretty much anyone with my ACR.

Now my PS3 is dead, again, but I know a hell of a lot more about how GT5 actually reacts to certain changes... Gearing contained zero "news" for me aside from how shift lag happens and how to fix it, which is funny... I used to chase gearing for ages, find nothing, chase suspension, find nearly nothing, etc.

Regardless... If you want help, feel free to shoot me a PM. I'll gladly listen to what you've "got" and try to point you in the right direction. I know how to teach, I've turned a non-tuner into a circuit tuner before, and I've turned a circuit tuner into a competitive drag tuner somewhat more recently.
