"You must enable DRM"...

"... to play some audio or video on this page".

I'm seeing that message at the top of the browser a lot today while browsing GTP. As I'm a free-spod at the moment I guess that's to do with content in the advertising bar? Just checking :)

As far as I'm aware, no ads should have sound. That doesn't mean that the issue can't lie with the video part of an ad, though.

Any page in particular you can narrow the problem down to?

There doesn't seem to be any obvious pattern - it happened on the next page I navigated to after reading your answer! And it's happening in this page as I type. It seems odd that there might be DRM attached to advertising video/sound anyway... but I'm definitely only getting the warning at GTP pages.

Screencap included, you can see what my cookies say I just bought from eBay :) I followed the link to the eBay page and got no DRM error there.

As mentioned, there shouldn't be any auto-playing audio from the ads or on the site (although it has been known to happen during a "certain time of the year"). I am not familiar with that info banner from Firefox; I have never seen it before and after some research I am not sure why it would be displayed.

I assume the quick fix would be to enable Firefox's DRM, unless there is some specific reason that you disabled it on your system.

What version of Firefox and Windows are you using?

Ubuntu 16 and FF 51.0.1 (64). I'll get Chrome fired up and see if the fault still exists... I know there can be flakes in the Linux FF versions. As there's nothing obvious in GTP that you think may cause the error I'll start trying to track it down elsewhere - thank you! :D

I'm old and paranoid, I never let anything have access unless I need it to... which in this case I might need to :D
