Your fastest speed

The X2010 does 298 mph at Sarthe with no draft. The highest trans speed is 315 mph. So over 300 mph will involve drafting and/or down hill.

271 mph at Sarthe with Veyron.

259 mph at Sarthe with Cadillac.

249 mph at Sarthe with Speed 12.

245 mph at Sarthe with Saleen S7.

240 mph at Sarthe with 2J Chaparral fan car with full downforce.

All speeds with no draft.

No it is not. A car going only 5 MPH faster will not give a speed boost of more than 5 MPH. Ever.
If the car was going 10 MPH faster and gave a 5 MPH speed boost, then that is plausible.

Well, I can see a Physics Nobel Prize coming...

Newton disagrees, nuclear physicists disagree, but we are discovering new things every day...

We are in a breakthrough here... New Physics Laws are being written...

Nissan Skyline GTR V Spec II Nur (R34) on ssr7 tunnel, 775 HP : 221 mph
i think it can still go up but i'm not sure because everytime i want to keep punching on the gas, the road comes to an end where you have to make a turn to return to the starting line

Does no-one else find that mclaren f1 speed wierd? 219mph and slower in 6th than in 5th...

It's very odd indeed.

Even because the road car land speed record (for many years) of 231 mph was obtained at the 7500 rpm rev limiter in 6th gear, and, in 1998, a F1 reached 243 mph @7800rpm just switching off the limiter.

By that many automotive specialists claimed the car could pull an extra 7th gear, as the engine still revved up to 7800rpm in 6th gear, as the maximum power output is at 7400rpm, and so reaching mor top speed

502km/h with the X2010 on Indianapolis High Speed Ring. Ths is the X2010's MAX speed, mind you. I was slipstreadming and it revved out. Brand new, no loss or gains of HP's.

Infact, that's not weird at all. The last gear just has a long gear ratio. The engine just doesn't have enough power/torque to rev out that perticulair gear.

Not true my frined :) I actually hit the redline and the red dot started flashing, I hit 219mph and went into 6th gear, instead of moving up or staying the same it went down to 214mph.

You have to tune it to 670bhp in order to get to 224 mph out of it. Which is still no-where near the 240mph benchamark. Also the zr-1 stock can do 213mph. Lol. Oh well, guess it's a bug or something.

Yes, it's weird, like I said before, in the particular case of the McLaren, the maximum speed of the real world road going car was 231 mph in 6th gear, revving out at the limiter @7500rpm.

The long final gear ratio is usual in saloon cars for fuel economy purposes, but that's not the case of the McLaren.

Have been doing some 2 player drag races at SSR7:

Veyron v fgt: fgt got off the line to 60 mph at about the same speed, sometimes veyron a bit faster, but then it was history for the veyron. Despite topping out at 238/40mph and the fgt topping at a rather slower 217mph the f1 car was too far ahead to be caught in time before the tunnel end.

Veyron v mclaren f1: f1 was never in the race to be honest topping out at only 218mph and getting to 60 a bit slower than the veyron. Disappointing.

Mclaren f1 v enzo ferrari: Despite the mclaren being faster in real life this was an extremely tight one, the f1 was a bit faster to 60 than the enzo and faster to 100 but then the enzo topped out at 219mph whilst the f1 only hit 217mph (surprisingly slower), the finish had the f1 ahead all 3 times but by inches not miles.

Murcielago v enzo: enzo was slower to 60 due to extreme wheel spin, the lambo's cool start was short lived, the murci topped out at 204mph whilst the enzo hit it's prime at 219mph. Enzo won clearly.

r8v10 v lamborghini gallardo: Tight, very tight. Near enough the same car. Same speed to 60, and to 170 but then at a very slow rate the gallardo pulled slightly ahead, I mean slightly, pretty much a photo finish the r8 topped out at 195mph whilst the gallardo hit 197mph. Gallardo won.

r8 v r8v10: This was more to see how much it's improved in speed since it's v8 days, the answer? very mush so. The r8 hit 188mph but was much slower to 60 and the v10 hit 195mph. V10 version won obviously.

Oh and for a laugh I pitched the redbull x1 against both the veyron and the fgt. Yeah you know the result, 292mph, Veyron and formula were specs in my mirror.

263mph in a Bugatti Veyron, at Le Mans obviously.

I think I had it at 1240bhp or something like that.

It probably has a high end powerband, which is the RPM range at which it produces the most HP. If you're too low in RPM's when youre in 6th it wont have enough ass to overcome the force of the air against the car.

This is the reason I wish we could tune each gear individually, but, i see why they'd make it not tunable.. you'd have so many people with worthless cars and jacked up transmissions.

Hopefully they'll add savable tuning setups (multiple for each car of course)

310 mph. Yes mph not kph. Redbull x1 downforce set to absolute minimum. Short draft behind a Lmp on Indy. Like the wind race. Actually lapped the slow car twice In a 5 lap race.

Im not impressed by guys going 270 mph in a Veyron anymore. I think GT5 has ruined that car for me. Everybody has it and almost everybody tune the **** out of it so they have become such regular cars online that I'm not impressed anymore. I´m impressed when somebody gets creative and orginal and finds another ( perhaps a little known / underestimated ) car and gets insane top speed out of that, even though if it would´t be as high as a tuned Veyron´s top speed.

Yeah, say 200mph in a golf.
