Fail.

It's never been down to us so it's obviously your end.
We do live in different states idiot. If I call TPG and ask if there is downtime at that moment and they say yes, then yes there is downtime, you really like to pay out my end when there is nothing wrong with it đź‘Ž.

You are correct on your last statement, Australian internet is RUBBISH. You see those guys above paying 10 of their dollars for unlimited usage on ADSL 2+ internet, you are looking at 80+ AUD (Australian Dollars) for something like that.

I think the best deal around is the Optus one for $70 AUD a month. I just worry about the speed. It's 90GB of downloads. 30 on, 60 off. Wireless, but the modem and connection fee is like $200.

And I got an e-mail from bigpond (telstra), apologizing for all the problems i've had and I get a free new modem and I am being switched to a faster plan. :D All this because they can't be bothered fixing my connection. Woo!

$60AUD a month, with up to 3 hours downtime a night, usually between about 8pm and 1am, but sometimes at other times. Just because we have a bad connection or live too far away from the tower or something. Also 20GB limit. And since i live in such a crappy remote area, Internode is the only ISP that has coverage.

What were you downloading through μTorrent, may I ask? ;)
I was downloading Call of Duty 4 demo. Is there a problem there officer?

Oi, watch your mouth!

I just upgraded to Bigpond ADSL+, I get 12GB downloads at 1-20mbps for $60 AUD a month. That'll teach Telstra (Bigpond) to stuff with my family. :P

Your lucky your parents pay that much to have internet that bad.

Friendly pay out, we call each other stuff all the time...

12gig is going to pretty much go nowhere if you use your internet alot, good luck with that.

We've been on a 12 gig plan for about 13 months and haven't gone over it once. My mum uses it only to receive e-mails and my step dad works late then doesn't really use the internet, so it's basically all mine.

I always wanted to test my connection out, guess its not as good as I hoped. Meh, not bad for $40 a month.

60 GB cap, which isn't bad, except that my girlfriends dad actually hits his cap monthly and usually around the 3rd week. :scared:

Huh. I'm on wifi, though.

Im on wifi too. I have a ping of 13. :D

Trubo Lag
By the way 'Round the Bend, we pay $50 a month for 25GB cap... change over!

We can do some random thing and get $20 off our bill a month. :D But i'm pretty much the only person in our house who uses the internet excessively. :D

It's good considering that it's a wireless connection and for the fact that the wireless card came with the desktop's motherboard.

I've got 100Mbit downstream & 10Mbit Upstream for 349kr/month which is approximately 51 USD's/month and to think, just like 12 years ago I was paying pretty much the same for a 56k modem connection haha!

I will upgrade my upstream to 30Mbit as soon as my ISP offers it.

oh, and I've got no Gb cap at all.

Love the way technology evolves;)

We don't really have a choice... :(

I wish technology would evolve in Australia. :ill:

I live next to Microsoft! So naturally I'm going to have some incredibly awesome internet as at least an option.

Good enough to stream 1080p videos. :D

My upload is .80. Is that any good?
Fine but not superb, better than mine at 0.2.

It's not bad. As long as you don't play online, I think you'd be fine.

But for bragging rights again, I'll post mine.

But again, technically my grandmother's.
Its still fine for playing online, as I just said I play online with the .20 which may be less on my PS3 (doubt it) and it is fine. Any lower and there is probably some issues.

Did the test on my PS3 and theres little to no difference in connection.
Well that is a bit worrying, we wont let you host eh?

An upload speed of .80 is fine for online play as long as it's a local server. I have .30 upload and I have no problems playing.

At work:
