Its still fine for playing online, as I just said I play online with the .20 which may be less on my PS3 (doubt it) and it is fine. Any lower and there is probably some issues.
👍 I play online with 0.8.

I live next to Microsoft! So naturally I'm going to have some incredibly awesome internet as at least an option.

Good enough to stream 1080p videos. :D

I'm lucky when i can stream 320p videos...

This is what happens when we get some good rain and wind. :ill: It kept going out again... :( I don't know why Internode has such a good rating, the city i guess... :indiff:

I have a strong connection now, but it's even worse??

That's strange. It's fine now. This is the best we get:

I just unplugged the phone line from my sky box and get ten times faster broadband. Up from 0.5 mbits to 5 mbits. So yeah that was a good day.

Thats the best it ever gets really, its 2am here. During the day we get half that. During the evenings we get <2Mbps download speed.

Upload speed limited to 0.37/0.38Mbps, thats the maximum it will ever go.

Ping is good. Pingtest isn't working right now for some reason. Last time i checked it was ranked B. I consistently get 50-100 ping, it rarely goes above or below that.

It doesn't look too bad, if only they wern't selective with what gets bandwidth and what doesn't. It restricts bandwidth on a lot of bandwidth heavy services, such as BBC iplayer.

After a week of issues finally got the connection working again, hoop it keeps up.
Seems with the cold weather the amplifiers of the provider where wrongly configured, making that they went out of the band during cold times of the day = no connection in the evening.

This is my internet connection right now. Cable and im very happy with it:D!

That speedtest result is pretty equal to what I get on my wireless. So really our internet isn't that crap.

Says the guy with what we would calll average Australian internet. The most we get at our homes is around 10mbs, you have half that, I have erm, uhh, worse. 1.3mbs but thats only because the people put in the wrong net cables which doesnt allow us ADSL2+ :/. ADSL, what I have, actually costs more to have and it gets less GB's.

;)

Only took just under four hours to download the R.U.S.E beta off Steam

This has just made my day. I have a PCMCIA (I think thats what it is called) card for my wireless on my laptop, I am on the other side of the house and when I have to load lots of images or heavily use the bandwidth for more than 5 seconds it drops out. I jsut tried to speedtest and it dropped out :D.

Mine took around 5 hours to download 1.5gig off PSN, just cause 2 demo.

This is from my laptop over wireless:

I can't get pass 10.35mbs because that is my speed limit. Because I am bored and have nothing better to do here is a command prompt of a ping to google.com:

Ohhh, I am so trying that right now:

As you can see, my net plays a role in that and my distance too.
Nick, what firefox theme do you have?

EDIT: Just realised downloads were going... its an inaccurate test then.

It's called Old Factory Black. If you want the other versions in the screenshots you will have to go to the creator's website to download them.

There is also another factor in that also. You can notice that Google's IP address is different for each of us.

I will remind you if you consider it, in the meantime, keep that in mind. ;) There are other reasons not to go to Australia too, and i won't even start on them.

Here's my connection:

It's supposed to be 1.5Mb/s, but we have a poor broadband and it's almost never at full speed.
