Since I just chowed down a delicious Big Mac five minutes ago, I was wondering how close the nearest McDonald's is from where you live.

According to Wikipedia there are currently 35,000+ locations worldwide. I have about 3 minutes by car to mine and it's open 24/7 so that's pretty sweet for when you crave a burger.

Apologies to all you veggies and health food people : )
This ain't the thread for you.

Less than five minutes.

There's no reason for me to ever go though, as there are many great (and cheap) restaurants including burger places in between me and the McD's. For late night cheap burger needs, there's Steak & Shake. For "I want a burger", there's Five Guys. For cheap, quick daytime fast food that tastes amazing, there's Chick-fil-A. There's a local sit down Mexican, a Hu Hot Mongolian barbecue, a Panera, a local sandwich deli, and more - all in between me and that McDonald's.

That's all well and good, but none of those places have Big Mac's ;)

When I'm at home, it's about a 20 mile round trip to the nearest one. When I'm at my apartment at college, I have two within a couple minutes drive.

Mine was literally down the street. I say was because it just got torn down to be rebuilt. Right now, the closest one is about a 10 minute drive from my house. But when the one in town gets rebuilt, it'll once again be within walking distance from my house.

Batavia: 12 miles, and the second is probably about 15 miles on the other side of town
Akron: 10 miles

You can't drive 5-10 minutes at a time here without passing a Mickey D's. It's a good thing.

The nearest to me is about half a mile. I will never go there. Second nearest is maybe 4 miles. Will never go there.

Nearest one that serves edible food is 4.5 miles away. It's amazing how stores allegedly of the same brand can have such different levels of quality.

Roo
Half a mile.

Although I'd rather go hungry than eat a McDonalds.
It's not all bad.

2 km.

Three outlets within 5 miles of where I live. With one more restaurant on the other side of town.

Closest one is 3.2 miles away.

There's two MickieD's within about 5 minutes of my house. The only two resteraunts that are closer are Sonic and Subway.

Counting the one in the Walmart, around 3.82 miles. Not counting that, around 4.91 miles.

Yet, there's better options about a quarter mile down the road in both directions, namely a Subway, Panera, Five Guys, and a Doughboys pizza shop within walking distance of my house. (and that grillhouse I don't remember the name of...)

Throw in the Popeyes, Pizza Hut, KFC, Ruby Tuesday, Burger King, and the Dunkin' Donuts all on the same block as the McDonalds...

Too much crap food.

All in Fargo - 2.3, 3.8, 4.0, 6.6, 7.0 and 9.9 miles with a sign that a new one is going in less than one mile away.

Probably like 8 miles. But really, McDonalds burgers have so much grease that I feel like throwing up after I eat them. The fries and McFlurrys are good, though. Oh, and speaking of fast food restaurants, does anyone else miss the old Burger King chicken nuggets? The newest ones are a downgrade and taste the same as McDonalds.
