JDMKING - I would seriously take your family to dinner for posting all of these videos and and previews.

You can sure tell the difference between a normal game reporter and someone with a passion for GT5.

 Thanks man, Im going back again today so If you want to see something specifically let me know. 👍

It's an odd looking car. The sides/doors are very high and the roof is very low. It really is an acquired taste.

I've noticed a lot of the new Camaro in the city where I live- Toronto. Almost every block there's at least one Camaro. Apparently Toronto's acquired the taste of the new Camaro. Personally, I prefer the Challenger. More subtle and more of a homage to the old muscle car. I do like the front end of the Camaro, though.

If at all possible, some more muscle car action!

The 2010 Camaro will probably be hell to drive from the interior view in the game.

All I know is that car was not designed to accommodate a 6'-4" 260 lb dude like myself. When I used to do internet sales photos for the local GM dealer, I found that out when I had to do a photo shoot on a black SS they had in the lot.

It was hard to get in and out of that car.

Or a 6'1" 210lb dude. When I went to pick up my Challenger, the Dodge dealership had just got a 2010 Camaro SS in on trade. The guy had traded in his 438 mile (no typo) Camaro in on a new Dodge Ram. He said he hated it. Anyway, since it was there, I sat in it just to see what it is like, and I could not get comfortable, much less see out of it. I put the seat all the way down and all the way back, and it still didn't have any head room or leg room, and I had to bend down to see out, and it is a pretty big car. I then finished my paper work on my new Challenger RT and drove home comfortable, and had tons of head room, and plenty of leg room.

I haven't driven a new Challenger. But I have driven the new Camaro, and I had plenty of room, and extra to boot. I am 5'8" and 165lbs. I found it very comfortable. The wife found it very claustrophobic due to the low slung windows.

Haven't been to this thread in awhile.
I've looked back a few pages or so and was wondering if any recent vids of standards has emerged guys.

Thanks in advance.

Truth. The Challenger was designed for guys like us, that's for sure. I had plenty of room in that yellow one they had. The 07 Mustang was good to me as well. But man, that Camaro.... shame on GM for that.👎

I think that's gonna be PDs dirty little secret as much as possible... I mean it's not like it's completely hidden, but now that they have officially announced standards, they are probably going to do everything they can not to draw attention to them again until launch.

Gotcha buddy just waiting to upload it. 👍

Just noticed that rear view mirror makes the cars behind you look pretty garbage... is that just an effect of the video? I know the rear view is usualyl toned down a lot but that seems to be pretty harsh... maybe it's just relative to the niceness of what you see out the front window that makes it stand out...

No your right I notice that today while playing hopefully its fixed when GT5 releases.

And what's that weirdness at 1:27?

I believe that's because the camera (at least from what I remember in the demo at Best Buy) seems to be in the geometric center of the car or so, so the particles from the wheels are still visible despite the wheels themselves not being drawn.

And what's that weirdness at 1:27?

That's a classic GT issue, since the bodywork would normally occlude the smoke from that viewpoint, except the bodywork is turned off for "bumper cam" - which, as we all know, is closer to being where the driver is, rather than where the bumper is, so technically, the front wheels would be in shot.

You'd think they'd have added in a wee occlusion check for that view by now... 💡

EDIT: pipped!

 I'm telling you GT5 is serious D what happen was my tire caught on another surface on the track and it totally messed me up. You see that green part on the road surface its very dangerous. Watch the video again you will see I should not had the view like that my bad rookie filming

It has the effect of looking like retro boosters kicking in :)

what is the go with those paddle shifter animations? they seem so un natural and he holds his hands on them for sooooo long. I hope the final build has a different animation for that

Argh, I can't believe they didn't fix the smoke in the bumper cam view.. that's the view I'm gonna be stuck with in the standard car and having to see that rather ugly effect pop up on the screen is going to be kind of annoying. Darn... It seems these little things could have been tweaked so easily, like a proper bonnet view & eliminating that smoke effect for the bumper cam.. :ill: Seeing these is bring up bad feelings about the standard cars again! :ouch:

Why don't you say that when you have actually played the finalized game, this is from an older demo build, as you can see there are no skidmarks present.
