Not into those movies anymore, but when I was young Home Alone was the way to go.

True, that's a real good one. They tried to go back and do remakes but the first remains the best.

In no particular order.

1) How the Grinch Stole Christmas (The cartoon version)
2) The Year without a Santa Claus
3) Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer (Rankin/Bass version)
4) Frosty the Snowman (Rankin/Bass version)
5) A Christmas Story
6) Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town (Rankin/Bass version)
7) Scrooged
8) Santa Claus (The one with Tim Allen)
9) Bad Santa
10) Home Alone

I actually bought this a few years ago, worth every penny.

^^ Ahhh yes, the Rankin & Bass classics. I like them, but they are a bit too cheesy (Rudolph especially) to be at the top of my list. Last few Christmas's I've been watching Fred Claus a lot, it's one of the few good new ones.

I wish this thread had more posts.

1. Elf
2. It's a Wonderful Life
3. Miracle on 34th St. (1947)
4. Home Alone
5. The Santa Clause
6. Scrooged
7. How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Cartoon)
8. The Muppet's Christmas Carol
9. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
10. A Very Merry Muppet Christmas

Now for mine, in no particular order, the colors are a bonus: :sly:

1. Elf
2. How the Grinch Stole Christmas (The non-cartoon one, Jim Carrey = AWESOME, the facial expressions he does are great.)
3. Fred Claus (It's just a good movie, if you haven't seen it you should)
4. A Christmas Story
5. The Polar Express
6. Home Alone
7. A Year Without A Santa Claus (Rankin & Bass)
8. Santa Claus (Tim Allen)
9. Rudolph (Sappy but a classic)
10. Can't seem to think of one right now, I'll post when I think of a worthy one.

I used to like the Santa Clause one from the 80s, when I was a kid we would watch that and usually star wars (because they were always on tv christmas time/day) pretty much every year.

Now though, I don't really watch christmas movies.

Not exactly a movie, but...

Tales From The Crypt: “And All Through the House” (1989)

I can only think of two at the moment, Elf and A Christmas Story. Not into many others anymore nor have I really watched many others.

Totally forgot about that one! A Christmas Story! It belongs at number one for me! The 24 hour marathon of the movie on TBS is a Christmas Day tradition for me. I can always recite the movie word for word by the 26th.

1. Bad Santa.
2. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.
3. Home Alone.
4. Home Alone 2.
5. Die Hard. (:sly:)

1. Die Hard
2. Die hard 2
3. Home alone
4. Outrageous fortune Christmas special
5. Die Hard

The second one was awesome.

Anyway.

2. Die Hard 2.
3. Anything that's not cheesy and does not include "Last Christmas" by Wham
4. Anything that's not cheesy and does not include "Last Christmas" by Wham

Ah yes the TBS marathon. I probably end up watching it 5 times a year.

Just watched National Lampoon's Christmas as the urging of a friend, and it was pretty good!
Yeah, 34th street, and it's a wonderful life, classics both. not really into Christmas movies....

But I did really want to say that the previous mention of "Rankin and Bass" was awesome! Those are the guys who brought us Thundercats, and more significantly, maybe my favorite animated movie ever, "The Hobbit"!!!

1. A Christmas Story
2. Lethal Weapon (Remember the bullet for a present?)
3. National Lampoon's A Christmas Vacation
4. Elf
5. Bad Santa

The movies that I must watch or it wont be Christmas.

"Flick thought he saw some grizzly bears near Pulaski's candy store!"

"He's cute ain't he? Only problem is, he's got a little bit a Mississippi leg hound in 'im. If the mood catches him right, he'll grab your leg and just go to town. You don't want him around if you're wearing short pants, if you know what I mean. Word of warning though, if he does lay into ya, it's best to just let 'im finish."
