Youtube Video Size Problem

Noticed something almost immediately after switching to my new laptop from my old one, namely that the Youtube video size for the expanded player isn't the same as it was on the old one. Not really sure how to fix it or why it would be like that in the first place, since I basically copied my Firefox data directly over.

It looks like this on the new one:

And this is what it looks like on the old one:

Any ideas what to do to make the new one like the old one? I'm sure it's something obnoxiously simple, but I dunno.

Why would that have an effect when the horizontal resolution is the same? Does YT take both into account when determining player size?

Best way to know why is to compare visually. Compare the 19" Desktop(1440x900) to the 20" Desktop(1600x900). May be a small difference but you can see that there is more grey space in the webpage(This is the same on youtube but the video is aligned to the left instead of a centered page. It just makes it even more apparent that there is more white space between the video and the little account button to the top right) than before.

I'm... really not sure how that answers my question. The reason I was asking was because the video window was a good 50% larger on my old laptop and I wasn't sure how to make it larger (or if there even was a way to). Are you saying it automatically resizes for vertical and horizontal resolution rather than just the latter like most webpages?

Install Youtube Center and create your own custom player size, addon works brilliant 👍

Hm. I'll give a try and see how it goes.

Recommend Youtube Center alot as well, it's abit tricky to install on chrome you have to enable developer mode download the extension then drag and drop to the extensions tab for chrome.

Should eliminate the issue as well .
