A new island has mysteriously appeared off the shores of Britain in Forza Horizon 4. Meet Fortune Island.
Billed as the largest expansion in Horizon history, Fortune Island is the first for FH4. The name isn’t just for fun, either: players will find themselves on the hunt for treasure once they set tire to road on the new island. Solve the riddles and they’ll add millions of credits to their account — as well as new rides.
Speaking of new cars, Fortune Island introduces 10 more vehicles for players to collect and master:
- 2019 Lamborghini Urus
- 2018 BMW M5
- 2017 Ram 1500 Rebel TRX Concept
- 2002 Koenigsegg CC8S
- 2018 Exomotive Exocet Off-Road
- 2012 Lamborghini Aventador J
- 2010 Saleen S5S Raptor
- 1953 Morris Minor Series II Traveler
- 2018 Funco Motorsports F9
- 2015 Hoonigan GYMKHANA 8 Ford Fiesta ST RX43
Dozens of new events are scattered across the map, taking in sheer cliffs, forests, and even a sunken village. One of the new types of PR events players will encounter is Trailblazer. Like the online race style, this tasks players with finding the quickest route from point A to point B. Take a chance and beeline it, or work around some of the more challenging terrain — it’s up to the driver.
Extreme weather won’t make it any easier. Storms will ruin visibility, lightning strikes will fell trees… but the Aurora Borealis should provide some more peaceful moments (and a lot of photo mode opportunities).
Drifting fans should be happy too, with the longest strip of winding tarmac in Horizon history.
Fortune Island is now available on the Xbox Store for $19.99, or is included as part of the Expansion Pass for Ultimate Edition owners. For Game Pass players — certainly some of the over 2 million players — there’s a 10% discount on Fortune Island.
