It’s the final week of Series 21 — “Explore the Horizon” — in Forza Horizon 5, bringing one last chance to earn the rewards for the month.
The theme for the Series is off-road exploration, with new events, new challenges, new cars, and new modifications all based around getting pretty far off the beaten path.
That includes a new theme to the Photo Challenges, which require you to take wildlife snaps at new campsite locations, and the new Pathfinder Treasure Hunts, which take you on meandering paths through the landscape to discover parts you might ordinarily speed past.
You’ll have a wide range of new Accolades to pick up this month too. Some are centered on the Pathfinders, while there are others for using new Photomode features and of course the usual one for collecting all four of the new cars this series — all of which are pickups.
There’s also a new range of “Overlanding” modifications, giving 16 of the game’s hardiest vehicles — including all four that are new this series — upgrades that turn them into go-anywhere camper vans.
Series 21: Explore the Horizon
You should already have both of the Series reward cars, with both being previously seen vehicles in any case but rare enough to attract decent bids in the Autoshow.
At 80 points there’s China’s most popular compact MPV: the Wuling Sunshine. A relative unknown in the west, the Sunshine and its derivatives regularly top China’s best-selling cars figures each month — and given the size of the market there it makes it one of the best-selling cars in the world.
The standard 84hp, 1.5-liter engine won’t go anywhere fast, but upgrades in FH5 will make a big, big difference.
For the 160-point marker you’ll win Audi’s RS7, the brand’s line-leading sports coupe — at least among cars with an internal combustion engine.
It’s quite an engine too, with the twin-turbocharged, four-liter V8 sending 592hp to all four wheels through Audi’s famous quattro AWD system. That makes it a weapon whatever the weather.
Series 21 Spring/Hot Season Rewards
Your final new car of the series comes in at 20 points, with the all-electric Hummer EV finally making its bow.
This 4.1-ton behemoth packs an astonishing 246kWh battery — which accounts for 1.4 tons of its weight — that powers three motors with a combined 1000hp. Little surprise it only has a 329-mile range really.
However it’ll be more than capable of driving over pretty much anything in Horizon’s Mexico, even if the top speed is a relatively sedate 105mph as standard.
Quite literally at the other end of the scale is the Mini Morris Traveller, which you’ll earn for 40 points. This tiny wagon is based on the famous Mini (which is technically a sedan and not a hatch), sporting an ash-framed extended body to make for a dinky little load lugger.
The Spring Season will run through to 1430UTC on Thursday June 22, bringing Series 21 to a close alongside it. Summer of Series 22 — Upgrade Heroes — will pick up immediately afterwards.
Series 21 Spring Playlist: Forzathon Events
The Hummer EV’s grandfather is the vehicle at the center of this week’s Forzathon Weekly, so pick up the barely civilized Hummer H1 (available from the Beach Ya To It seasonal championship this week) to get Like Nothing Else underway.
It’s a pretty simple batch of challenges this week. Firstly you’ll need to paint the H1’s body (which requires a lot of paint), then head out and get it immediately covered in scratched by smashing up 12 cactuses.
Finally you’ll need to complete any Horizon Arcade event in the H1 — we’d recommend “Wreckage” but any of the five types will do, especially if you get busy with the tuning stick — to earn five Playlist points and 80 Forzathon Points. You’ll pick up double FP if you own the Casa Solariega player house.
Weekly Challenge: Like Nothing Else
- Car: Hummer H1
- Chapter 1: Own and drive the Hummer H1
- Chapter 2: Paint the body of the Hummer H1
- Chapter 3: Smash 12 cactuses in the Hummer H1
- Chapter 4: Complete any Horizon Arcade event in the Hummer H1
- Reward: 5 points, 80FP
Your final seven Daily challenges this series come along at the usual rate of one per day, at 1430UTC. Each has a full seven days to complete, even if that rolls over into next series.
First of all you’ll need to win any Dirt Racing event in any Pickups & 4x4s category vehicle — so just grab a Pick-Up and Go beat up the AI.
It’s time to Rove the Land next, as you’ll need to earn 30,000 Skill Score in the Land Rover Range Rover Velar; you can earn the car from this week’s “Splash Down” seasonal if you don’t already have it.
Grab a total of three stars in any Trailblazers next to earn Trail, Blazed. You can do this all in one go while you’re doing this week’s PR Stunt.
Smash up six umbrellas in Playa Azul — most readily found on the beach — to leave Horizon Festivalgoers needing Sun Block.
You’ll be Creating Memories next, by taking a photograph of your car during any chapter of any Horizon Story.
Thread the eye of a stone needle next by driving right through the stone arch at El Arco de Cabo San Lucas to complete an eponymous challenge.
Close out the Series with Evasive Manouevres. You’ll need access to online multiplayer in order to do this, by entering The Eliminator and earning a sideswipe skill — for hitting a destructible object with the side of you car — to finish the challenge.

Series 21 Spring Playlist: Season Events
We have another tiny selection of solo events this week, again consisting of five events.
The first of those is The Board Walk, an Event Lab custom track. Again it’s for A Class (701-800PI) cars from any offroad category, and this week it’s a run around the beaches near Riviera Maya. Watch out for the pre-corner jumps, but otherwise it’s a breeze to complete the lap and earn three points and a Mercedes-Benz 190E.
Both of the PR Stunts remain as open-to-all events, just requiring any vehicle up to the top of S2 Class (901-998PI) and awarding a Super Wheelspin.
You’ve got the Malpais Trailblazer, which is the easiest of all the Trailblazers and only requires a 20-second time limit target this week, and the temporary Ranas Saltarinas Danger Sign near The Eliminator. You’ll need a good run-up for that, but the 280m target isn’t difficult to achieve.
Once more there’s just two Seasonal Championships again, each consisting of three-race events against Highly Skilled AI. In each case you’ll receive five points and some bonus rewards for topping the championship scoring.
Beach Ya To It is a Road Racing Series event for S1 Class (801-900PI) Super GT cars, awarding a Hummer H1 for victory. Splash Down will give you a Range Rover Velar for topping the Dirt Racing Series event in any B Class (601-700PI) Unlimited Buggies.

There’s two multiplayer events on the Playlist, and you’ll need an Xbox Live subscription in order to access the event on console — or play for free on PC.
The Trial sits in its usual spot, this week consisting of a best-of-three championship for B Class (601-700PI) Modern Rally cars. It’s a Dirt Racing championship event, but the low power AWD cars should make it a relatively controlled affair.
That said, the “Unbeatable” difficulty AI you’ll be facing have become quite erratic in recent weeks, and you can never entirely rely on your human team-mates to play ball.
It’s a team event, with 100 points available for each opponent you beat — and nothing for beating your own team-mates. Work together to help each other pass the AI and you’ll get the best results, even winning the event with a race to spare.
Take the overall win and the whole team earns ten points for the Playlist and the MINI JCW Buggy
Seasonal Playground Games returns to the line-up this week. It’s a single-event type again, consisting of three rounds of Survival/Infected, for any A Class (701-800PI), all-wheel drive vehicles.
You’ll need to complete an entire set of events (if you’re lucky you’ll join with one round remaining), with winning not a necessity, to claim three points and a Dodge Durango.
Seasonal Playground Games: Geo-Crashing
- Car: A Class, AWD
- Location: Ek’Balam
- Challenge: Complete a Seasonal Playground Games event
- Reward: 3 points, Dodge Durango
The Trial: Kicking Up Mud
- Car: B Class, Modern Rally
- Location: Atlantes de Tula

- Reward: 10 points, Mini JCW Buggy
Series 21 Spring Playlist: Challenges
Four more Challenges await in the final week, with the new-format Treasure Hunt, new Collectibles, and the special Photo Challenge all joining a regular online event.
For this week, that last item is The Eliminator, and you’ll need access to online multiplayer to play it. Once again you’ll only need to finish 30th or better — often a matter of surviving a couple of minutes — to pick up the two points and a 2015 Range Rover.
Your Collectibles challenge this week is Donkey Gone, and you’ll need to smash up ten donkeys located in Tierra Prospera.
They’re again pretty hard to find this week, but look around the farm land, tracks, and buildings near the north-east corner of the area — between the river and the Cruse de Granja Trailblazer and the Tierra Prospera name on the map — and you’ll likely discover enough of them quite quickly. Get ten and you’ll win three points and a Farid Rueda’s Bear Relaxed Fit Tee clothing item.
The Photo Challenge, #Flutterby, is a bit of a pain this week. Again you’ll again need to find a camp site and photograph wildlife, but the clue and location don’t entirely line up.
To find the site, head to the Chihuahua Circuit marker and drive east; it’s on a dirt mound pretty much directly between the Foto Final and Las Ranas Cross Country markers. Once there, take your snap and earn two points and a Farid Rueda’s Bear Tank Top clothing item.
Finally we have the “Pathfinder” Treasure Hunt. You’ll need to complete three Pathfinders, which send you along a path between two sets of green balloons (marked by red balloons) that show the start (two balloons) and finish (one or three balloons) points, to “find” the chest.
Only the first is marked on your map, so select that — Cascadas de Agua Azul Trail — to find the start point, and follow it to its finish near San Sebastian. You’ll need to hunt out the next two start points, at the dirt track west of Playa Azul and just near the La Cabana player house in Bahia de Plano, and complete those events too.
When you finish that final run, the Treasure Chest will appear right by the finish point balloon atop the hill near El Arco de Cabo. Smash it to score three points and a 250,000cr bonus.

It’s your last week to complete the Forza Monthly challenges for this Series, which award one point to each Season regardless of when you manage to check them off.
As usual, you’ll need to set a clean lap of the course in order to get the points — so setting fast times isn’t strictly necessary. With both being Forza EV events, with rapid, heavy cars, it could be a tricky one this month.
The new Cupra Tavascan is the star of its own event, at the compact Emerald Circuit, while the new Hummer EV will be provided for the tight offroad course at Ek’Balam Cross Country Circuit. You may struggle to slow and turn the four-ton Hummer in the temple towards the end.
Forza EV: Cupra Tavascan Concept
- Cars: Cupra Tavascan Concept (provided)
- Location: Palacio Azul, Emerald Circuit
- Challenge: Post a Clean Lap
- Reward: 4 points (1 added to each season)
Forza EV: Ek’Balam Cross Country Circuit

- Challenge: Post a Clean Lap
- Reward: 4 points (1 added to each season)
Series 21 Spring Bonus DLC Events
Each of the two expansion packs offers a pair of bonus events, with one PR Stunt worth two points (and a Super Wheelspin) and one Seasonal Championship worth five in each location. You won’t need the points to score 100% completion, but it’s a nice bonus if there’s harder events or lots of multiplayer on the rest of the list.
You’ll need any car up to S2 Class (901-998PI) for the PR Stunts, and while both are Speed Zones they’re a mix of difficulties this week. Wallride the Supersonic Spiral in Hot Wheels and you’ll blow through the 150mph target with ease, but the Crateres Secos in Rally Adventure is pretty tricky at 74mph with the deep (and dynamic) sand.
The Seasonal Championships consist of an S1 Class (801-900PI) Rally Monsters Street Race event in Rally Adventure, awarding a Reaper Cackle Horn, and an S2 Class (901-998PI) Hypercars Road Race in Hot Wheels that awards a Jump On It emote.

Series 21 Spring Forzathon Shop
It’s an offroad week in the Forzathon Shop, with a pair of serious mudpluggers on offer.
You can score the all-wheel drive Ford Bronco Ultra4 ’17 for 400FP (against 500,000cr in the Autoshow), which packs a seven-liter V8 into an unlimited class chassis — intended to win the bizarrely named “King of the Hammers” offroad event.
Alternatively, for 300FP, there’s the Alumicraft Class 10, which races in the rear-drive Class 10 at events like the Baja 100. It’s also available in the Autoshow at 300,000cr
Other store items this week include the Hot Wheels Guitar Stadium Horn and the Photo Hoodie jacket for 75FP each. The Wheelspin (60FP) and a Super Wheelspin (150FP) occupy their regular spots.
