The third week of Forza Horizon 5’s series of secrets has rolled around, with a fresh set of Playlist challenges that include the game’s all-new multiplayer mode.
That’s “Hide & Seek”, which sees a gaggle of five players teaming up to find one who must try to remain hidden in the traffic car, as part of the “Hidden Horizons” series. There’s some new Accolades available for the mode this month too, and while some new Achievements for it are coming they won’t arrive until next month.
You’ll have a new-look Stadium to explore too — quite literally — as it now hosts a tricky maze that requires you to hunt through it for several challenges this month. That’ll include all four of the Treasure Hunts.
The new car list is a little more sparse this month with just four new reward cars available. You can collect each one for hitting 20pt within each of the four seasons, although there isn’t a fifth new vehicle as an overall reward. All players will receive a special tie-in Camaro through their in-game messages though.

Series 38: Hidden Horizons
After a slightly smaller month in S37, S38’s Playlist returns to a 300-point maximum, with 75pt distributed equally across the four seasons.
Note that this includes the usual 56pt from the DLC packs, so 100% completion only requires 244pt. However the new Hide & Seek mode is present across all four seasons, so you will need to have access to online multiplayer to maximize your scoring.
The two overall Series reward cars aren’t new to the game, but they are both are Playlist-exclusives — and Nissans. You’ll pick up the Tsuru for 80 points, and the Safari for 160 points.
Series 38 Winter/Dry Season Rewards
There’s a Japanese legend available for scoring 20pt this season, with the Toyota Chaser Twin Turbo, while a hot rod sporting a closely related engine is on offer for 40pt in the shape of the Hot Wheels 2JetZ.
Winter will run until 1430UTC on Thursday October 3, with Series 38 running for another week until the same time on Thursday October 10.
Series 38 Winter Playlist: Forzathon Events
We’re downsizing again this week for the Forzathon Weekly Challenge, with the BMW Isetta Export the star car. Seven more Daily Challenges — one new event each day at 1430 UTC — are also available for a point each.
You might like to time your other events this week, as there’s two Daily Challenges that double-up on other events: Credits Well Spent on Saturday with the Treasure Hunt, and Seach & Smash on Friday for the Hide & Seek challenge — requiring online multiplayer. Otherwise it’s all relatively straightforward.

Series 38 Winter Playlist: Season Events
The overall look of Season Events this week is a bit dinky, with Seasonal Championships — three-race championship events against Highly Skilled AI — making up half of the eight-event list.
First there’s the offroad An Odd Sighting event, for A Class (701-800PI) vehicles from the custom “Oddball Rally” hopper. Two Road Racing challenges are up in the shape of All Wheels Down for A Class (701-800PI) AWD cars and Old vs New for B Class (601-700PI) Classic and Modern Sports Cars. Finally there’s a Street Racing event, Street Heroes, for S1 Class (801-900PI) Modern Supercars.
Only one multiplayer event is up this week, with The Trial in its usual place. You’ll need an Xbox Live Core subscription (unless you play on PC) in order to race in this best-of-three, offroad, human vs Unbeatable AI team championship for A Class (701-800PI) cars from the USA.
One EventLab challenge is on the list this week too, featuring C Class (501-600PI) Classic Rally cars in a special challenge on EventLab Island, somewhat resembling a Hot Wheels Unleashed level…

Series 38 Winter Playlist: Challenges
Hide & Seek is on the Playlist all season long, requiring only that you complete a round to nab the points — although there is an additional Daily Challenge you might like to complete while taking part.
There’s another Detective Tank appearance in the Photo Challenge, as #OnTheCase requires you to snap him high atop the tail of a plane in the Aerodromo. You’ll also need to head to the Stadium to smash 20 examples of him littered about the area — which you can double-up with the Treasure Hunt.
That’ll require you to spend 30,000cr upgrading any Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution model (which also has a similar Daily Challenge) to reveal the Chest in the orange zone — near the west entrance — of the maze.
