Forza Horizon 5 Series 41: Narnia Business

Another new Series begins in Forza Horizon 5 today, bringing back some old favorites as Playground Games mixes things up a bit.

Quite literally, as it happens, as Series 41 is officially known as “Horizon Holidays Mix-Up” and features some new cars and challenges for the next four weeks and some world changes brough back from previous Series.

As you may have noticed last month, we’ve trimmed back our coverage a little as FH5 looks to be slowing down a little. PG itself has “paused” monthly live streams, and we’ve seen more repeat aesthetics and the introduction of the Horizon Backstage — a harbinger of the end-times.

Instead of weekly articles covering individual season changes (not that there are any this month!), we’re going to look at each Series as it starts in a broader overview — which you can continue to discuss on the forums. Let’s see then what S41 will bring…

Forza Horizon 5 Series 41: Horizon Holidays Mix-Up

Series 41 is a little larger than Series 40, with 288pt available across the Series — 72 in each season — and 232pt in total required for completion. That accounts for the 14pt each season that comes in the two DLC packs, while multiplayer is also weighty this month but not obstructively so as it was in S40.

We’ve got four seasons of Winter this month in place of the regular season changes, and that’ll see a decor change at the Stadium from the Winter Wonderland in odd weeks and the ice rink in evens. However it does make describing the events a little trickier than usual!

There’s five new cars available as rewards this month, but only four come from overall playlist completion of 20pt in each season. The fifth, the Nissan Z NISMO, is available in the first season — which we’re calling Winter 1, but would normally be Summer — as a reward from a special Seasonal Championship. As is the new normal, a Horizon Backstage Pass is the higher tier reward for each season, with the overall Series rewards as returning Playlist-exclusives.

Forza Horizon 5 Series 41 Rewards

  • Series 41 Overall Rewards: BMW i4 ’22 (80pt), Audi RS4 Avant ’18 (160pt)
  • Series 41 Winter 1 Rewards: Bentley Flying Spur ’21 (20pt), Horizon Backstage Pass (40pt)
  • Series 41 Winter 2 Rewards: Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG (20pt), Horizon Backstage Pass (40pt)
  • Series 41 Winter 3 Rewards: BMW M5 ’22 (20pt), Horizon Backstage Pass (40pt)
  • Series 41 Winter 4 Rewards: Cadillac CTS-V Wagon ’14 (20pt), Horizon Backstage Pass (40pt)

Forza Horizon 5 Series 41: Forzathon Weekly

There’s a real mix-and-match look to the Weekly events this month, covering all sorts. You’ll need the aforementioned Nissan Z NISMO for the first, and that’s followed by the Morgan 3-Wheeler, the Ford De Luxe, and the MINI Cooper S JCW.

For the 28 Daily Challenges — one point each and seven days to complete each one from the day it unlocks — there’s not a huge number of oddities but a few do require multiplayer access as they must be completed in events like Seasonal Playground Games and The Eliminator.

Forza Horizon 5 Series 41 Forzathon Weekly

  • Series 41 Winter 1 Forzathon Weekly: Nissan Z NISMO ’24
  • Series 41 Winter 2 Forzathon Weekly: Morgan 3-Wheeler ’14
  • Series 41 Winter 3 Forzathon Weekly: Ford De Luxe Five-Window ’32
  • Series 41 Winter 4 Forzathon Weekly: MINI Cooper S JCW ’12

Forza Horizon 5 Series 41: Multiplayer Events

We don’t have the same issue as we saw in S40 with Multiplayer and DLC events required for 40pt in any one season, but there are some heavier weeks here. You’ll only just make it without them in Winter 4 (Spring), as the multiplayer events tot up to 18pt to leave exactly 40pt for players with the base game and no subscriptions.

Otherwise there’s a spread of events from The Trial (one each week as usual), Seasonal Playground Games, Hide & Seek, The Eliminator, Horizon Open, and Horizon Tour.

Forza Horizon 5 Series 41 Multiplayer Events

  • Series 41 Winter 1 Multiplayer Events:
    • Daily Challenge: Breaking the Ice (1pt)
    • Hide & Seek (2pt)
    • The Trial: Honda First Day of Christmas (10pt)
  • Series 41 Winter 2 Multiplayer Events:
    • Daily Challenge: Six Elise A-Playing (1pt)
    • Horizon Open: Easier Sled Than Done (2pt)
    • Seasonal Playground Games: We Three Kings (3pt)
    • The Trial: Bragging Rights (10pt)
  • Series 41 Winter 3 Multiplayer Events:
    • The Eliminator: Battle Royale (2pt)
    • The Trial: On the Norte List (10pt)
  • Series 41 Winter 4 Multiplayer Events:
    • Horizon Tour: Co-op Championships (8pt)
    • The Trial: Tunnel Vision (10pt)

Forza Horizon 5 Series 41: Other Events

Probably the most significant single event is that special Seasonal Championship, Nissan Easy, in Winter 1 (where Summer would usually sit) which awards the Nissan Z NISMO. Otherwise it’s a fairly routing look to the Series.

We do have two Treasure Hunts (and the first week’s chest location is tricky) as well as a Collectibles event which appears in Winter 3 (or… actual Winter) and brings the Snowman back. Many events also feature festive clothing rewards.

It’s worth mentioning also that there’s four Monthly Rivals events this Series — one of which is a Forza EV event — for 16 points in total, awarded whenever you complete the events during the four weeks. There’s also a very rare Showcase Remix, as the Porsche 911 “Rally” (Dakar) takes over the On a Wing and a Prayer event for a special challenge called The Flying Deutsch-man.
