With February underway, Turn 10 is preparing a preparing an early Valentine’s Day gift by releasing Update 17 for all Forza Motorsport players on console and PC.
Weighing in at a featherweight 2.5 GB on consoles and PC, the latest update is one of the lightest ones yet.
This comes amidst a change of plans at Turn 10 regarding its update roadmap. In a recent developer letter in January, T10 confirmed that the next three months will be heavy on content as upcoming features may be re-evaluated. Unlike the pattern of updates in 2024, Update 17 does not contain a new or returning circuit.
Instead, Update 17 puts its focus on “Daily Racers”, highlighting cars that are practical enough to drive to the shops, but still capable of delivering thrills on track. Let’s take a look at what players can expect:

Hyundai and Toyota make up the bulk of new cars being added. While machines such as the Toyota GR86, Camry TRD, and Hyundai i30 N all make their way over from Forza Horizon 5, the most notable additions come in the form of the Hyundai i20 N and Elantra N.
The i20 N is Hyundai’s smallest N car and has been designed to square off with the all-conquering Ford Fiesta ST. Under the hood lies a 1.6 liter turbocharged engine making a beefy 204hp. With extensive chassis upgrades, the little i20 promises big fun.
Meanwhile the Elantra N brings all of the N Division thrills in a more spacious sedan package. It shares the mechanicals with the i30 N, meaning a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine making 276hp.
Hyundai’s commitment to motorsport also spawned a racing version of the Elantra. Running to TCR regulations, the Elantra N has been homologated to run across the world alongside the Veloster N TCR. This particular Elantra N is the 2021 #98 run by Brian Herta Autosport in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge.

Forza Motorsport Update 17: Other Changes
The main change for this update is a complete rebalancing of the Forza Touring Car division. All cars currently used in the Forza TC Spec Series are now reverted to stock parts and have been re-tuned.
Ongoing audio reworking brings changes to the 1998 Toyota Supra RZ and 2020 Toyota GR Supra. The Lamborghini Sian and 2021 Porsche 911 GT3 have also had audio bugs fixed.
Stability and performance fixes include fixing disconnects and crashes for consoles and PC.
Update 17 will run over the next four weeks until mid-March, where the next theme has been confirmed as “Velocity”. As part of the revised road map, T10 confirmed that a “fan favorite circuit” will arrive by May, but did not mention if any circuits will come before then.
The full set of patch notes can be found here. You can also stop by our dedicated Forza Motorsport forums for more community discussion, as well as looking for any undocumented changes.
