The next update for Forza Motorsport, Update 4, has been revealed by Turn 10 and it will include the series’ return of the Daytona circuits when it arrives on Tuesday January 16.
Daytona was one of the locations that didn’t make the transition from Forza Motorsport 7 at launch, so Update 4 will be redressing that balance for the most part.
According to the official release notes, we’ll see two layouts for Daytona in the update. That’ll consist of the legendary 2.5-mile Tri-Oval and the longer 3.59-mile Sports Car Circuit which will host the Rolex 24 at Daytona in two weeks’ time.
However that does mean that the 2.94-mile Short Circuit — which misses out the turn 6-7 banking and feeds in from the infield just ahead of the Le Mans Chicane — from FM7 won’t be included in the update.
Daytona will be included across all game modes, including a special “Daytona Sports Car Series” in Featured Multiplayer, while the update will also see the circuit and both previous new courses — Hockenheim and Yas Marina — added into select Builders Cup career mode events too.
Additionally the update will see a grand total of ten new cars making their way into the game. Four will be available as Spotlight Cars for a new Featured Tour in Career Mode — allowing you to purchase them at a discounted price during their time in the spotlight.
The Tour, Italian Challengers, begins January 18 with All-Wheel Driven, highlighting the Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evo ’92, before moving to Roadster Renaissance and the Abarth 124 Spider ’17 on January 25. February 1 sees the start of Alfa Performance, with the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifolglio ’17 as the star car, and the final event is Prancing Power for the Ferrari 430 Scuderia ’07 beginning February 8.
You have until February 29 to complete the four challenges, and doing so will gift you a fifth new vehicle: the Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 SV ’10.

A further new reward car is also available for completing the refreshed Open Tour events. Check off all four — at C, B, A, and S level — between January 18 and February 15 to earn yourself a Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA Stradale ’65.
The final four new cars are available only to players who own the Car Pass, and arrive at the usual rate of one each Thursday.
They’ll begin with the McLaren Senna GTR ’19 on January 18, followed by the Ferrari 488 GTE #62 Risi Competizione ’19 on January 25, the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro on Febuary 1, and finally the Cadillac CTS-V #57 TA ’18 on February 8. Car Pass cars will continue to flow past then of course but we’re yet to learn their identities.
New events will also be available in the Spec Series in Featured Multiplayer, bringing players into Formula Mazda, Volkswagen Golf GTI, Modern Factory Racecars, P1 Class vehicles, and a special Daytona Sports Car Series over the Rolex 24 week and weekend.
One thing players shouldn’t necessarily be expecting this update is the issues flagged by Turn 10 earlier this week, which will take longer to arrive. The release notes state as much, with a short section commenting that Update 4 is focused on new content and events, with only “minor fixes” implemented.
