There’s a special, free pack coming to Forza Motorsport 7 next week that combines two things we all love: virtual cars and toy cars.
Called the “Hot Wheels Anniversary Pack”, it’s intended to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Hot Wheels brand. It’ll arrive in the update on November 6, and is free to all Forza Motorsport 7 players.
Forza fans will be familiar with the tie-up between the two brands. Both the Motorsport and Horizon series feature Hot Wheels cars made to the same standards as their real-life brethren. Even the latest game, Forza Horizon 4, already features the Hot Wheels “Twin Mill” car.
This time it’s Forza Motorsport 7’s turn, with a special car and driver gear pack. There’s seven new cars in total, covering both real vehicles and Hot Wheels’ own imaginary creations:
- 1963 Hot Wheels Volkswagen Beetle 50th Anniversary
- 1969 Hot Wheels Chevrolet Camaro Super Sport Coupe 50th Anniversary
- 1969 Hot Wheels Twin Mill
- 1970 Hot Wheels Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 50th Anniversary
- 2005 Hot Wheels Ford Mustang
- 2011 Hot Wheels Bone Shaker
- 2017 Hot Wheels Rip Rod
If you’ve played Forza Motorsport 6 or Forza Horizon 3, the Twin Mill, Bone Shaker and Rip Rod cars should be rather familiar. However, each is wearing a new, 50th anniversary livery for the occasion.
Along with the seven vehicles, there’s six special Hot Wheels driver gear suits. There’s a special 50th anniversary edition suit, which all players will receive as a gift, and five other decade-specific suits. These cover every decade from 1950 to 2000, and players will need to earn these suits by completing in-game challenges.
