Slightly Mad Studios has updated Project CARS 2 with a new Community Event for players to tackle. This week’s challenge will put your skills to the test with a nimble track racer.
Following on from last week’s double header, there’s only one time trial up for competition this time around. “Radical Shootout” takes place on Laguna Seca and the vehicle of choice is the Radical SR8 RX.
Sitting in the “Track Day A” category, the SR8 requires full concentration at all times to drive effectively. There’s no restriction on tuning setups, so changes can be made if the stock tune feels a bit off. Weather shouldn’t play a part in this event as it is limited to medium clouds only.
Times at the top of the leaderboard so far indicate that to be competitive, you’ll need to drive a lap under one minute 20 seconds.
As with any drive on Laguna Seca, it is key to nail the track’s famous eighth turn – the ‘Corkscrew’. Plunging the driver downhill mid-bend, the section is one of the most recognised in the world. Don’t let its unique nature catch you off-guard.
