The Nurburgring 24H endurance kicks off this weekend. To celebrate, the team at Slightly Mad Studios has pushed out a challenging new Community Event.
The “Nurburgring 24 Showdown” challenges players to tame the Green Hell. Appropriately, it also features GT3 cars. That gives you a fair amount of options compared to some previous events, from the agile NSX and Aston to the big bruisers from BMW and Bentley.
With car selection up to individuals, tuning becomes even more important. Luckily, as with most PCARS2 Community Events, this one allows it.
As of right now, the BMW M6 is topping the leaderboards, with lap times sitting a few seconds over the eight minute mark. That’s not quite how the real deal turned out last year — but there’s still days left for the Audis (and the rest of the field) to catch up.
One thing players won’t have to worry about is weather. The forecast calls for medium cloud coverage, and mercifully, it will stay that way.
