Gran Turismo 7 new Daily Races are now available, running for the next seven days and into the New Year.
Again, it’s a chance for players to drive one of the game’s newest cars, with the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm part of the most recent update and starring in Race A.
As with almost every set of races event since the end of May, Race A is again a “No DR/SR” event. That means you won’t gain or lose Driver or Sportsmanship Rating points for this race, no matter what happens during the race.
For the Italian performance car’s debut you’ll be heading to an Italian circuit, by way of the fictional Sardegna Road Track course. You’ll be racing on the “B” layout, with its steep middle section through the windmills. It’s a four-lap race, and the cars will be equipped with Sports Hard tires.
Race B is a bit of an unusual one, but again heads to a fictional Italian circuit. This time it’s Autodrome Lago Maggiore — for the first time since the track was removed from rotation due to a now-fixed exploit — with Gr.3 machinery.
That might not seem that odd, but the layout hosting the race is the tiny Centre course, in the reverse direction. The circuit usually sees kei cars or similar racing round the compact track, and the Gr.3 cars are a little on the excessive side for such a small track.
Nonetheless, just grab your favorite Gr.3 car, equip Racing Medium tires, and hang on — and watch out for full sends off the back section — for the eight-lap race.
Daytona is once again on the slate for this week, but this time it’s the Road Course which shows up in Race C.
It’s a ten-lap race for Gr.4 cars, which most likely means it’s yet another week in which you’ll need to be in something all-wheel drive (and probably the Alfa Romeo) to see the best results.
That’s because it’s a no-stop race, with neither the fuel consumption (2x) nor tire degradation (3x) multipliers turned up to a high enough level to require it and no mandatory stop on the schedule either.
It’ll be a standard sprint on the Racing Hard tire for the ten laps, so pick whatever Gr.4 car you wish and go racing.
In order to access the Daily Races, you’ll need to unlock Sport Mode, by completing Menu Book 9 (“Championship: Tokyo Highway Parade”) in the GT Cafe single player hub.
With GT7’s Daily Races updating every Monday across the game’s life to date, the next new set should arrive on Monday January 2.
