There’s a new set of Gran Turismo 7 Daily Races now available, with three new races across the next seven days including the return of dynamic weather racing.
As usual, Race A is unranked, with no changes to your Driver Rating or Sportsmanship Rating no matter how well — or badly — your race goes. It’s once again a one-make race for road cars, with the Audi TT making an appearance.
You’ll need to fit the 2003 coupe with Comfort Soft tires (or borrow one using the “Event-Specified Car” feature, with them already fitted) for the four-lap race, this week hosted by Autodrome Lago Maggiore.
It’s a short sprint around the West circuit (not to be confused with the West End circuit), which misses out the turns 3-8 section of the main GP circuit. However you’ll be running in the reverse direction, with the signature bowl hairpin as a left-hander.
Race B is a modern GT staple, with the core Gr.3 category cars — similar to real-world GT3 — up for a five-lap race around the Yamagiwa circuit at Kyoto Driving Park.
There’s no particular special regulations for the race, so just pick your favorite Gr.3 on Racing Hard tires and go all out in this sprint race.
Rain may play a part in your Race C however, with dynamic weather making its return in this race for Gr.2 cars. This might result in a fully wet race, a fully dry race, or anything in-between.
Any of the Gr.2 machines — consisting of the six Super GT cars, the Audi RS5 DTM, the McLaren F1 ’97, and the Mercedes CLK-LM — is eligible for the race, but it rather depends on what the weather delivers as to your best choice for the race.
It’s a five-lap race around the 24 Heures du Mans Circuit, with chicanes, so you’re also going to need plenty of top-end pace. However, other than ensuring you have at least Racing Medium, Racing Intermediate, and Racing Wet tires available, there’s no considerations of fuel consumption or tire degradation to be concerned about.
In order to access the Daily Races, you’ll need to unlock Sport Mode, by completing Menu Book 9 (“Championship: Tokyo Highway Parade”) in the GT Cafe single player hub.
With GT7’s Daily Races updating every Monday across the game’s life to date, the next new set should arrive on Monday May 1.
