Gran Turismo 7 players will find a new set of Weekly Challenges arriving today, as their consoles pass midnight, with a new selection of five challenges becoming available.
This feature was added in the recent Spec II update, and essentially consists of a curated playlist of events drawn from those already available in the World Circuits menus — occasionally, though not this week, including a special, limited time challenge unique to the week.
Even if you’ve already completed these challenges in regular gameplay, you’ll need to race them again for the Weekly Challenges, finishing third or better in order to gain bonus rewards depending on how many you get through.
There’s some good money in this week’s races, but things start off low and relatively slow with a pair of FR Challenge events worth 10,000cr for the win.
You’ll need a Japanese FR car with a suggested, but not mandatory, PP rating of 450 for the three-lap race at Tsukuba, and an American FR car with a similarly optional 550PP rating for a two-lap run of Big Willow in the Japanese FR Challenge 450 and the American FR Challenge 550 races.
Kyoto Driving Park Yamagiwa + Miyabi hosts the Hypercar Parade for a race worth 100,000cr. It’s a four-lap race and the only requirement is that you use a Road Car — but as the name suggests you’re going to need something high performance to take on the AI here. Be aware you will need to have at least started the relevant Menu Book (44) to be able to enter this event.
There’s also two World Touring Car races with hard PP caps this week, with a 600PP race at Grand Valley Highway-1 and a 700PP race at Red Bull Ring.
You won’t have any other restrictions for the WTC600 race, so use what you like for the five-lapper; it’s worth 92,000cr for the win. However you’ll need Racing Tires for the ten-lap WTC700 event — watch out for the high tire and fuel multipliers — as you race for 115,000cr.
This week’s bonus rewards are a Six-Star Roulette Ticket (Parts) for completing one event and a 200,000cr ticket for completing three. Finish all five and you’ll earn the Six-Star Roulette Ticket (Car), which awards a high-value vehicle.
The Weekly Challenges update at midnight local time on Wednesday evenings/Thursday mornings, with the next set due at that time on December 13/14. You’ll need to have completed GT Cafe Menu Book 39 and watched the ending movie in order to have access.
