Gran Turismo 7’s new Weekly Challenges for the next seven days are now becoming available to players around the world, with the latest set of five appearing as your console clock ticks past midnight.
This feature arrived in the major 1.40 update — also known as Spec II — in November 2023, and gives players a short, incentivized playlist to accomplish each week. Usually this consists of existing events drawn from the World Circuits section of the game, with a “Special Event” created just for that week every now and then.
That applies this week, with a new race for the Radical SR3s. You’ll need one of these open-top track toys for the race — and you can either buy one or earn a free one from Bonus Menu Book 40 — which is a four-lap sprint around the Nurburgring GP circuit. There’s no tuning restrictions, and you stand to gain 75,000cr for victory.
Elsewhere there’s a standard low-speed, low-value race at — ironically — the High Speed Ring, in the Japanese FF Challenge 450. You can use any front-wheel drive road car from Japan for this race, in any state of tune, but the two-lapper is worth only 7,000cr.
A little more valuable is the Silvia Sisters race at The Streets of Willow Springs. There’s a little complexity here in that you’ll need to have unlocked the relevant Bonus Menu Book (45) by reaching a Collector Level of 27 and at least started it to even be able to see the race. Once that’s out of the way you’ll need any roadgoing Nissan Silvia or the 180SX/SilEighty, for the three-lap race. There’s 35,000cr for the win.
You can pick up 90,000cr for victory in the next race, which is the American Clubman Cup 700 at Trial Mountain. It’s only a five-lap affair, and requires any road car from the USA — with no limits on tuning. We all have a Tomahawk S left-over from the early days of grinding, right?
Finally there’s the World Touring Car 900 race at Autopolis. This can be a bit of a monster, with a hard 900PP cap, Gr.2 opponents, and very large tire wear and fuel consumption rates at 13x and 10x respectively. Win the ten-lap race and you’ll score 150,000cr.
There’s more credits available in the bonus rewards this week, requiring third place or better in each race to collect the prizes. Again there’s a Six-Star Roulette (Parts) Ticket for one event, and a 200,000cr ticket for three, but the reward for clearing them all is a 500,000cr ticket this time. That means a theoretical maximum, with Clean Race Bonuses, of 1,235,500cr for the week’s work.
Weekly Challenges update at midnight local time on Wednesday evenings/Thursday mornings, with the next set due at that time on February 14/15. You’ll need to have completed GT Cafe Menu Book 39 and watched the ending movie in order to have access.
