Another new set of Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges will become available to players around the world over the next few hours, landing on consoles as the local clock ticks over to midnight Thursday.
The fresh set of five events brings along the chance to try out some of the new content added in today’s Update 1.46, and there’s special rewards for completing the set during the seven-day window. This week that includes the rare, and valuable, Six-Star (Car) Roulette ticket, so it’s well worth making the effort.
Honda’s Civic stars in a Special Event this week, with a new challenge created specifically for the week and featuring any of the EK-generation models — including the tuned touring car model. It’s a four-lap race at the full Suzuka Circuit, and there’s 90,000cr waiting at the finish line if you cross it first.
There’s also a one-make race for the recently added Suzuki Jimny. This pint-sized off-roader stars in a Jimny Cup race — for which you’ll need to have started Bonus Menu Book 50 — at the similarly compact Horse Thief Mile circuit at Willow Springs. You can tune the car any way you wish, but at just 40,000cr for the four-lap race you might like to exercise some restraint on spending.
This week’s lowest value race nets you just 25,000cr for taking the win over three laps of the Red Bull Ring. You don’t need to stick to the suggested 550PP limit for the European FR Challenge 550, but you will need a Road Car from a European manufacturer for the event.
The new Afeela Protoype is the cover car for the Japanese Clubman Cup 550 race which takes place at the Alsace Village Reverse course. Again, 550PP is a suggestion rather than a limit, with any Road Car or Professionally Tuned car from Japan eligible for this five-lap run worth 60,000cr to the victor. And hey, the Afeela is free, so why not?
Finally there’s another Gr.1 Prototype Series event, which also requires that you have started Bonus Menu Book 42. Despite the name, you can use whatever car you wish so long as it’s equipped with Racing Tires and doesn’t exceed 950PP, and you don’t have to worry about rain in the race here at Grand Valley Highway-1. There’s a 160,000cr reward for winning the ten-lap race.
Completing any one event this week awards a parts-specific Six-Star Roulette Ticket, which may gift you any one of the “Ultimate” tuning parts for any vehicle. Finishing three events awards a 150,000cr ticket. However the real reward is the car-specific Six-Star Roulette Ticket earned for clearing all five, as this may contain a car worth up to seven figures.
You’ll need to have completed GT Cafe Menu Book 39 and watched the ending movie in order to have access to the Weekly Challenges. The events update at midnight local time on Thursday evenings/Friday mornings, so we’d expect the next set on the morning of Friday May 3.
