The new week’s Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges are on their way, with a fresh set of five races to complete during the seven-day window for some bonus rewards.
Comprising a short, curated playlist of events, the Weekly Challenges in GT7 are mostly drawn from the races you can find in the World Circuits area — with a regular spot for an additional “Special Event” race created just for the week. Finishing the races during the week will earn you extra prizes, with higher rewards the more of them you complete.
This week’s set is a curious bunch, with actually no requirement or need to use a race car of any kind. In fact four of the five events entirely forbid it — with the Special Event being the exception.
We begin with a very low payout race in the Sunday Cup Classic at the short Autodrome Lago Maggiore Center circuit. It’s just a two-lap race, and you can use any road car of any kind for a 5,000cr winner’s payout. If you fancy a challenge, grab a Tomahawk S or either the Ferrari or Skoda Vision GT cars and see if you can lap the field!
There’s not a lot of money available in the European Clubman Cup 600 at Alsace Village either. It’s a three-lap race for any road car from a European manufacturer, offering just 25,000cr for victory.
A more healthy reward is on offer at the Evolution Meeting event at Monza, although you may need to unlock this event if you haven’t already done so. You can select any real road car from the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution stable for this race (which means no sneaking in with the Gr.B Road Car), in any state of tune, with the four-lap race worth 70,000cr for the win.
The only race at a non-European track this week comes in the American Clubman Cup 700 — but you won’t be visiting the USA. Mount Panorama hosts this race, a five-lap affair for any road or “professionally tuned” (which covers several SEMA award-winning models) car. Taking victory earns you 94,000cr.
That leaves our Special Event, which actually has no restrictions of any kind. It’s the third, and we assume final, appearance of the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters, which features a range of modified road cars (and the Alfa Romeo 155 touring car) decked out in DTM-alike liveries for this six-lap race around Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. There’s 150,000cr on offer for winning, which is so-so in terms of the rate of earning credits unless you smurf it in a Tomahawk X or similar…
There’s a mixture of rewards this week, with credit prizes (by way of redeemable tickets; don’t forget to redeem them) of 100,000cr for completing any one race and 200,000cr for completing any three. Clear the whole set and you’ll score a Six-Star Roulette Ticket, which can award you 500,000cr or 1,000,000cr, or any Brand Central car (including Invitation cars) worth 500,000cr or more.
You’ll need to have completed GT Cafe Menu Book 39 and watched the ending movie in order to have access to the Weekly Challenges. The events update at midnight local time on Thursday evenings/Friday mornings, so we’d expect the next set on the morning of Friday November 22.
