Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges: C No Evil

Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges have updated once again, on their regular schedule of midnight local time on a Thursday evening.

The Weekly Challenges consist of five events, refreshing each week, made up of four selected from existing World Circuits events and a fifth Special Event that is created just for the week. Completing the events — by finishing third or better — during the seven day window earns you bonus rewards as well as the standard credits for your results.

Each week usually has a range from low- to high-value races, and filling the former slot this week is the European Sunday Cup 400 race at Sardegna Road Track A. Considering that the prize money for the race win remains at the low, 7,000cr value of this series it’s an absurdly long two-lap race for the ~400PP cars recommended, and as you only need a road car from a European brand you might want to pick something crazy and get it out of the way.

There’s a little more money on offer in the Japanese Clubman Cup 550 race at Autopolis. Again, that 550PP notation is a mere suggestion, as you can use and road or tuner car (such as Nismo models) from a Japanese manufacturer for this three lap race that’s worth 20,000cr for the win.

You’ll earn more at the World Touring Car 600 race at Tokyo Expressway South Counterclockwise, but this is not an easy event given the hard, 600PP limit. It’s five laps long and awards 80,000cr for victory against a quite tricky AI field; you do only need to finish third to clear it though.

The fourth race might need to be unlocked, as it appears as part of the Bonus Menu Books, in Book 44. That’s the Hypercar Parade, and this race is a six-lap sprint around Red Bull Ring. The only requirement is that you use a road car, and to clue you into what type one of the lead AI uses an Aston Martin Valkyrie… There’s 90,000cr available for taking the win.

Once again then the Special Event is the final race in the prize money spectrum, and it’s a return of the “World Group C Racing Championship”. This will see the AI field made up exclusively of the game’s five Group C cars, decked out in liveries that resemble classic schemes from the era, as you race over eight laps of Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. Note that there’s actually no restriction at all on what car you can use here, and you’ll score 140,000cr for your race win.

Completing any one event will land you a 100,000cr ticket, while finishing off any three awards a 200,000cr ticket; be aware that these aren’t straight cash rewards and will need to be redeemed from your Garage’s Gifts section. Sweeping the whole set earns a Six-Star Roulette ticket, which can award prizes of 500,000cr, 1,000,000cr, or a car from Brand Central worth 500,000cr or more — including the Invitation cars.

You’ll need to have completed GT Cafe Menu Book 39 and watched the ending movie in order to have access to the Weekly Challenges. The events update at midnight local time on Thursday evenings/Friday mornings, so we’d expect the next set on the morning of Friday January 24.
