It’s been a long road, but Fanatec CSL Elite PS4 owners have cause for celebration today. The latest 1.15 update for Gran Turismo Sport has finally introduced native support for the wheel.
Curiously, the news of the peripheral support was absent from the official site’s list of changes. It did get a mention on the PS Blog’s post however. This means GT Sport now supports wheels from each of the “Big Three”.
Prior to this, Fanatec had released a firmware update that offered a “Compatibility Mode”. With Polyphony’s sim racer, this resulted in the CSLE emulating a Logitech G29.
We’ll be testing the CSL Elite PS4 with the new content over the holiday weekend. As the only major wheel to support PS4, XB1, and PC (depending on the attached rim), we’re big fans of Fanatec’s product. You can read our whole review on it right here.
