New Gran Turismo Sport Update Confirmed For February 28

Players turning on Gran Turismo Sport today will have found a notification for the next game update. Presumably 1.13, the patch will arrive in less than 24 hours.

The notice comes only a handful of days after Kazunori Yamauchi teased the latest cars set to arrive in the game. Currently, that’s the only bit of information Polyphony has released about future content. However, previous content updates have included new layouts for existing circuits (1.10 and 1.11) or returning circuits from past titles (1.11), leading many to speculate the pattern will continue here.

Another pattern this update will conform to, if it does include these new cars, is a rough monthly schedule. Versions 1.10 and 1.11 arrived in the tail end of their respective months, and so will this, if only just. Polyphony never confirmed a strict monthly schedule; the original goal was simply “approximately 50 cars” between the initial November announcement and March 2018.

As usual, the GT Sport servers will be going down for roughly two hours for a maintenance period, at which point the new update will be available. Server maintenance will take place between 0400–0600 UTC (click here to convert).

Stay tuned, as the GTPlanet community will no doubt uncover all the goodies Polyphony may have included once the patch is live. Keep an eye on our GT Sport forums for the latest discoveries.
