The Nismo Australia Facebook page has posted details for the second live qualifier event in the 2014 GT Academy Australia competition. It will be held at the first Formula 1 race of the year, the Australian GP in Albert Park, Melbourne. It will be open starting Thursday the 13th until Sunday the 16th.
The first live event was held in Adelaide, at the Clipsal 500 V8 Supercar event in the first weekend of March. Results from the public qualifiers will be kept anonymous on a GT Academy Australia website that’s set to go live soon. If gamers kept note of their time, they will be able to track themselves on the website and see how they stack up, but names will not be displayed.
Further live qualifier events will be held in Perth, Sydney and Brisbane on dates that are yet to be announced. Online qualifiers start in April. The top 28 competitors will make it to National Finals where only 6 Finalists will be chosen to move on to compete against each other for the chance to become Australia’s first GT Academy champion.
Full contest rules are still yet to be released but stay tuned to our GT Academy forums and news page for first word as soon as details are released.

Oh man, hell yeah there are aliens in Brazil, tons of them. Brazil is going to be TOUGH competition. If you’re competing in Brazil, I salute you. Good luck.
That guy in the bottom right corner deserves to be the winner. He’s using cockpit view!!
So is the person on the top right. I guess we have two of our finalists!
Wow someone actually using cockpit view!
Yeah but the driving line is on.
@formulac: But the driving line isn’t very accurate
A lot of kids use it.
I wonder if they’ll be using the newly introduced multi-monitor support?
It has never been done like that even for GT5. It’s not “newly introduced.”
@another_jakhole He meant it was new to GT6. Shame they don’t use it, would’ve been fun!
