Silverstone watch out, the Australians are coming!
Six Aussie gamers have booked their place at next month’s International Race Camp alongside the six finalists from the USA, after a tough weekend of competition at the Gold Coast’s Warner Bros Movie World.
Getting their names down to become the first GT Academy champion of 2015 are:
Tyler Blackburn (20, Queensland)
Corey Creed (25, Queensland)
Nick Dalton (21, Queensland)
Simon Feigl (30, Victoria)
Elliott Schutte (29, W. Australia)
Matthew Simmons (26, Queensland)
The six had to battle through the usual mix of Gran Turismo, fitness, trial by media and the all important gymkhana driving test over the two days of trials to book their place – even more for Corey who was a wildcard qualifier from the live event!
These twelve drivers are now waiting to see who will be joining them from Mexico, North Africa and Turkey to duke it out at the home of motorsports next month
