Last month, Polyphony Digital employees descended upon Las Vegas for the 14th Gran Turismo Awards. While Kazunori Yamauchi himself was not present — he was presenting London with the world’s first look at GT Sport utilizing PS4 Pro and PSVR — the party was just as large as it has been in previous years. You can see for yourself up top.
Taking place at the Marquee Nightclub, the party certainly was quite the spectacle, as our man Jordan can attest to (he even grabbed some exclusive Fishermans Ranch gameplay in between the partying). As we reported during the event, Bruce Levens’ gorgeous 1951 Ford Coupe won the eponymous award. The Ford secures its place in a lineup of one-off custom cars that include the Art Morrison 1960 Corvette and last year’s winning “Fugu Z” Datsun 240Z, built by Fast & Furious star Sung Kang.
Unfortunately, for those that couldn’t attend, the 90-second video is about as close as you’ll get to reliving the experience. What say you to full PSVR integration for 2017, Sony?
