Over two months ago, the surprise GT Sport closed beta made its way onto PS4 consoles. The playtest begun in the US and then made its way to the EU a month later. Eager Gran Turismo fans in Asia will now be able to join in the fun as the beta continues to expand in scope.
The steady rollout across each region is showing Polyphony Digital’s growing confidence in the early access beta. As stress-testing continues, the arrival of more players can only have a positive impact long-term. After Europeans got early access to the title, a substantial content update was released.
This update brought more tracks for new and existing players to race on with the recent discovery of visible tire deformation. Perhaps with further expansion of the stress-test, we’ll see a new content update for the title.

The Gran Turismo Sport beta continues to grow over time. After it’s sudden arrival, racers from all over the world have been testing out this year’s release and the many events in the title’s Sport Mode. With E3 fast approaching, the focus will turn to Los Angeles in the hope of fresh news. In the meantime, we extend a welcome to the new attendees from across the pond into the closed beta.
