You’ll be visiting some classic GT combinations in this week’s GT Sport Daily Races, along with an event that harks back to Gran Turismo games of old.
Races B and C put you into GT Sport’s core FIA-Certified Online Championship race cars, with one event for Gr.3 cars and another for Gr.4 models, both on tracks making their return in the PS4 title. It’s Monza for the Gr.4 cars, as you’ll head to Italy for the track that sees some of the highest speeds — and biggest braking spots — on the F1 calendar. Pick your preferred car (Veyron, if you want to win) and take on the four-lap race.
Things are a little more complex in Race C. Again, you’ll be picking up whatever Gr.3 car floats your particular boat, and heading to an old-school F1 venue in the shape of Brands Hatch. However, this 14-lap race has strategy as a major factor, due to mandatory tire requirements. Players must use all three of the available tire grades — Racing Soft, Medium, and Hard — during the race. Those who don’t will face a 20-second post-race penalty.
Race A is far more simple, and feels like a trip back to the first Gran Turismo game. It’s just three laps, but you’ll be running the fastback Nissan 180SX Type X from the recent update, at Tokyo Expressway’s South Outer Loop. Despite the “Sunny”, 6pm conditions, it’s quite dark out there on track, and is very reminiscent of the old races at Special Stage Route 5.
These three races will run through to Monday, March 9, when another new set of three will replace them.
